There are better ways they could have gone about it and in a sane country they could face legal battles not because they sacked their workers but because they didn't do it as supposed but at the end of the day they are only doing what's gonna be sustainable for their company this trying time. May we not experience sack!

There's hardly a secured employment in Nigeria, entrepreneurship is also not easy to maintain. You go pay staff, burn diesel, pay tax like no tomorrow, transport goods on bad roads...

Those people that were previously sacked was not enough, and the company did not want to sack workers in 2 batches because of Coro. So the company had to recall them and do a complete sacking once and for all. That's how real men behave.

The way some people work for company as if they are share holders. Whenever they hear of sack they begin to shiver. I know some take home pay is not attractive but if you can't invest that small amount then you wouldn't invest millions. After working for more than five years, you should be thanking the company for giving you the opportunity. Am also doing a salary job and it's constant to sack yearly. I started planning my exit from day of employment, now when is time for sack, I don't even bother not because am okay but because am sure of moving forward. When the job is on, ask yourself if the obvious happens, can I sustain my present life, if the answer is no, then take back your lifestyle to what you can support without the job. I stop using my salary since 2017. Till date I survive with what I raise, meaning I can survive without my job. Whenever they are firing, I go to sleep. When I get to my target without being fired then I will fire them. All the same I thank them for the opportunity. If you are lucky to have a job, think about that day you will be sacked and work towards it.

My family really appreciate the love you guys showered on us, in helping my junior brother escape his time of agony.

As if last two weeks I posted on different section that my junior brother needed help, he was due for surgery, but financial aid was far from us.

In reality the self emoloyed are the most hit by this lock down for many have no jobs to do, no contract, no production but some reliable private companies especially those who have staff that can work for home and government are still managing to pay salaries.
