My mum was called to bar in late 90's and before I was called she specifically asked me to stay away from Land/Chieftaincy matters.

As a naturally curious person I defied until I saw a female lawyer drop dead in court, definitely not health related. I've gone full time ADR!

Land/Chieftaincy matters are very delicate most especially chieftaincy matters.

People employ diabolical means to have a upper hand. In the course of such, casualties always occurs either through violence or spiritual means

As a litigation lawyer, you have to be really spiritually strong. It is either you have a pastor, an alfa or babalawo clearing the coast for you.

Indeed madam you are right. Anything land related is not an easy task. Please advice me, there's a tenant who we issued quit notice and 7 days order which has expired, still he ignored it. Now that magistrate courts are not open in Lagos do we issue the one month notice or wait till the court open and can we file a case at the small claims court for the money he owes? thanks for your anticipated response

Don't be afraid, just be spiritually strong. Just hold unto God or what you believe.

As a realtor, real estate and property owner. I can tell you that. Truly land and property cases are always very delicate and dangerous.

I don't know of the droppin' dead. But I know for sure that, lawyers and even judges lose their lives to hitmen.

You'll have a hearing in court and your counsel will refuse to show up. Lol! Chai!

If I told you what I've seen and experienced in this business so far. You will def. faint.

However, the danger involved in land and properties is the reason Real Estate became lucrative.
