Most of y'all hating on this man about the hotel demolition dnt truly know the full story. The owner was a pdp youth leader who severally have been warned to shut down the place by ncdc but he continued partying and when ncdc kept coming there,he brought out his gun and shot at them. I mean who does this, he also was a threat to his community, always brash and too loud, the community celebrated the demolition. Even the land was confiscated, a primary sch wil be built there.

Majority of them spewing thrash aren't indigenes, the reason they have interest in Rivers state is because of the oil and the job it provides for their brothers, sisters and Hunkles..
Someone even said his respect for Wike diminished after the demolishion, as if Wike even knows him or he can even vote for Wike should he decide to run for the senate.
If you have ever stayed in Rivers state, you'll know that the people there need a iron hand, else they turn the state into a war zone.

Maybe it's through their interactions with foreign workers in their midst. Well, let it be 100%, I know this is one sector that must continue to work otherwise the entire nation will shut down.

You're awake at 4.51am insulting someone who is light years ahead of your entire generation. You think Wike read comments here or would give a damn about the opinion of "one Tayo" somewhere who cannot survive 48 hours if he were to indicate interest to run for a councilor position in one if the wards in Rivers state. Do you even think on a very good day you can survive the streets of Port Harcourt?

Why is it so easy for us to curse and insult people in NL. The governor said the truth. I live in RS and work in the oil industry so I know what he is talking about. A lot of cases are from the rig. You there are expats who get to the rig direct from their countries and that is how the thing gets to the rig. We know some of those he is talking about. What wrong has he said in this episode now that will warrant your raining of insults? I don't even know why he is disturbing himself. Allow free flow of persons and by the time Rivers people start seeing the real thing they and Nigerians including you will be at the forefront of begging him start another lockdown. It will be too late. I'm not saying he has handled everything well but he has tried

keep shut for a story you knew nothing about! Osaro is NOT the owner of the hotel, rather the hotel manager called him when wike task force came who are people he knows and NOT ncdc official as you allude here. Where are you from? Who told you people are happy?

Well the Federal Goverment has to take action. If the oil sector is beyond the reach of local authorities and they continue to operate across both local and international borders at will then the pandemic will not and never be contained. We should define exactly what we want in Nigeria concerning this pandemic because our poor structure is getting in the way.

We either go the United Kingdom way where by the national government takes charge of legislation, sets the rules and administers health policy. Or we go the way of the United States whereby the States take care of everything and the Federal government just comes in to augment resources.

We cannot succeed whereby the Federal government is working at cross purposes with the States. If the oil industry is exclusive then the State must be the responsibility of the Federal government also. Those who operate in the industry are not ghosts. They move around, interact, shop, worship, socialise with non oil workers who remain in the majority.

The Niger Delta is once again exposed and is making unreasonable and unfair sacrifices to keep the country going. The people and leaders there should be understood and not villified for the sacrifices they will have to make.

Going forward it shows once again how weak and ineffective the structure we operate as a country is in tackling the most basic of national challenges.

Wike, it is time to release loads of funds to the Rivers State Ministry of Health to partner with private bodies to set up multiple mobile testing labs to carry out aggressive random testing to determine the level of Covid-19 spread.

Enough of the Politricks.

Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones.

It is proven without doubt that the PDP youth leader does not own the Hotel in any way. Stop spreading false info.

However, the owner of the demolished prodest Hotel who is by name, Gogorobari Needam and his manager, Bariledum Azoroh, have been convicted by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt over defiance of state government’s COVID-19 lockdown order. The Court also fined two of them the sum of N50,000 each for contravening
