Okay. But how do we send our supporting documents and submit biometrics?

Bourne007:
On the link under 'Application and Service Centres in the UK', it says you cannot book an appointment. And if you've already booked, you will be contacted to be informed that it has been cancelled. Whether regular, super or super duper o, they all fall under the same category grin

Hello friends

Thanks so much for taking time to share your experience... I have been watching in the side lines and I am here for advice...

1. English language rqt... I came into UK in 2017 with IELTS C1 which is much higher than the A1/A2. Can I still use the same IELTs result? Most people said you can use the same result if you have gotten your visa based on it. I have tried to use the NARIC route but I cant get my Medium of Instruction Letter from my University because of CORONA Virus lockdown. Does anyone have experience using their old IELTS?

Also the new online doesn't give an Option to use IELTS unless you say, your degree doesn't meet the English Language Requirement. If I say it doesn't meet the requirement, won't that be a lie?

2. Pls how do I answer these 2 questions? I also have a business in Nigeria. I have some landed property in Nigeria. Do I need to mention them since my husband is the sole sponsor?

i) Do you or your included family member/s have any business interests outside of the UK?
Please provide details below.

ii)Do you or your included family member/s own any property outside of the UK? Please
provide details below.

Hello Spinardo..

thanks for taking out time to explain all these..

i have been away from here so thats why i'm just replying..

i do need more info though especially understanding the re-application period for me..

1. My spousal visa expires June 2022.. so when is the best time to apply? April 2022? May 2022?

Pardon my many questions smiley ..

2. Naric UK.. do u mean u re-applied all over again with ur uni sending ur transcript and Medium Use of english or u just re-ordered?

3. Whats A2 Exams for? i used the normal NARIC UK certification with CEFR Level C1 and all.. after submitting the necessary naija uni docs..

4. i Have now stayed 8 months here but not had my name on council tax with my wife.. just her name with her sis is on it..i'm working on getting that done this month...

Also just contacted Thames Water to include my name on the bill too.. i thought i had time to get all these done.. i went back to Lagos for about 2months and NI Nos application in Jan 2020, Job search got me distracted..

Hope i'm not too late as i want to start gathering my docs by first getting my names on respective bills with my wife

5. Is there a clear UK Gov link for UK Spousal Visa application likes its clearly stated for the initial UK Spousal visa application?

6. Since i hadn't yet gotten a verified proof of address due to no name on council tax.. i haven't been able to open a traditional bank account.. been using Monzo .. can i use Monzo for bank statement for spousal visa extension?

7. Pls how do i manage to get my name on bills like Council Tax that comes 1ce in a year (March)... even when i get my name on council tax.. there will be no bill to show my name for 2020 cos it already came in March 2020 for the period March 2020 - February 2021?

I'm in the process of opening a trad bank account though as i have a job now.. but feel i need to show that i have been n the UK for the time being i had Monzo

Look forward to replies from everyone

Spinardo:
Hi Profemebee

Sorry I am just getting across...

You will need to re-order the NARIC statements. You cannot use the old one.

Not necessarily. However if you are in a role/job where your employer requires it urgently, then you may use the Super Priority. The rule of the thumb however is that as long as you submit your application (best to also attend the Biometrics) before the current visa expires, you are covered. If your employer is fussy, they just need to check your details on the ECS.

Also "not necessarily". If you submit your application early (about a month before your visa expires), you may be lucky to get a free date for your desired/availability. The period of your application also matters. If it is not a busy period (December, June, July, August), then you may be just fine as well and not bother about the hassle of getting a free date.

Though they advise that you submit just the last 2 years but I submitted from my date of entry into the Country. More will NEVER hurt.

Submitted one type (across 4/5 sources) for each Quarter.

For account statements, I submitted just the lats 6 months (note though that I applied as "Employed" Category A).

Hope this helps. Shout out if you require any more info.

bro/sis .. plese i need like small lecture on some things here lol

Spinardo:
Hello Good People,

Been some time. Time does fly past when you are having fun..... Lol. So that mystery member always on the sidelines watching events is here again and with some good news of course!

I applied and got my FLR (M) approved. Thanks to God and everyone on this forum that took time to share their experience and answer inquiries.

Completed the online form within the 1st 3 days of February and attended the Biometric session on 15th February.

Paid for super priority to get an outcome quickly and also waited till my initial FLR was almost expired to ensure that my new period will be inside of 5years and not less (upon expiry wrt ILR).

I got an email on Monday stating that my application was successful and an appreciation for using super priority....lol

List of documents submitted are outlined below:

Proof of Identity / Travel History
British Residence Permit for Applicant
Applicants' International passport (original) - Old and New
Spouse passport (Original)
Child's Birth Cert and Passport (Originals)

Proof of Application
Relationship Declaration
Consent for Applicant
Marriage certificate (Original)

Proof of Cohabitation
Tenancy Agreement
Sky/Virgin Correspondence
GP Letters
HMRC Correspondence
Utility bills
Bank Correspondence
* All of these were about 25 documents (the more the merrier)*

Finances
Letter from employer
Payslips for 6 months prior
Bank statements for 6 months prior highlighting salary payments for the previous 6 months
P60 for relevant period
Signed Contract of Employment

Educational/Proof of English language
English language test certificate A2

Other
Printout IHS payment
Printout IHS reference number
Printout UK visa application payment
Printout appointment confirmation

As I paid for scanning there, it was quite calm. Just kept passing the documents across and they got scanned as due. All of the documents were returned to me immediately and the personnel was courteous/pleasant irrespective of the number of documents (i think she may have seen worse...lol).

Paid quite a sum though but it was generally worth it as I feel I received value for money. Aside the IHS, Application Fee and Super priority payments, I also paid for scanning and for the appointment date/time

I am available for any questions that may aid others in the process of seeking their extension as I did some good reading on the side also.

Again, Thanks to God and y'all. We move to the next!

On another note, we should plan to hook up o as we have been catching up on this platform and it will be nice to put a face to these pseudonyms. I'd not be surprised if some of us have worked at the same establishments/project over time....Lol

Lexusgs430, Nakiemi, Bibra800, Justwise...too many people to mention! Hailings!!!

Hello everyone,

My child arrived in the UK and was issued a British passport a few months after. We had a newborn this year who was also issued a British passport.

Do I need to meet the requirement of £25,000 for my 2 children and my wife? Moreover, my wife 2.5 will expire in August 2021, Should I start applying on the 3rd of August to meet the 28 days rule? Sorry if this sounds like silly questions.

Thanks

Your kids don't need to apply as they are citizens. Requirements need to meet just your wife.

It is advisable to submit your application for an extension as early as possible in the period of 28 days before your current Visa runs out

i hate this process of seeing checklist of documents only at point of uploading and submitting especially for FLR M stage

this thing don dey stress me lol

Bourne007:
Assuming you uploaded and submitted yourself, it would have generated a checklist of documents to submit. The exact same solicitor go use.

It's not really about wasting money. It's just a simple and straightforward application. If to say application get comma, solicitor will def be required.

If you wan do next application, read guidance and this forum with questions. There's immigrationboard as well. I'm sure ppl will be willing to answer your questions/queries.

If you still wan use solicitor, just hire me cheesy.

brother..

God bless you beyond your expectations..

Also i read here that one can only apply within 28 days to the expiry date on the BRP..

Mine is 22nd of June 2022.. means i can put in my application from the 24th of May 2022 yeah??

However, the part of picking an appointment date 45 days earlier got me confused.. please can u explain further?

Yes at bolded. I'm sure you know and have seen it several times but you keep asking lol.

The 45 days in advance is for the old premium service which is now closed. You can always get appointment same day, next day, within a week depending on what you want.

Anymore questions before applying 2022, we go Happy to answer grin

osheyyy bro..

and the appointment is only booked after paying for the FLR M application which is when the actual 28days starts from

Example.. if i'm applying/paying the fee May 31 2022.. my last docs for payslip, bank statement, etc shouldn't be earlier than May 3 2022 to meet up with 28 days rule yh.. while also ensuring May 31 2022 is also within 28days from expiry of BRP..

Please which is one will I choose here as the 5yr route is saying if you want waive as your partner is on benefits (my partner is not on any benefit) or the one that says parents 5yr route. Please help with an answer. Thanks

Then ask if there is any pending application that I am yet to get a decision which won't be considered if I continue with this new one, I picked no and it continues. Trying it now again and it took me through the right route. Thanks.

Any one renewed their passport in London recently? Spousal visa expires on the same day as passport towards the end of the year. I've applied for a renewal on the website but no appointment given, they said the embassy should be called to get one and surprise surprise not a single number on their website went through. Would appreciate any information that will help, thanks

What is the husband's status in the UK? If he has all the requirements, there is no reason why he can't bring in his wife unless he doesn't want to

You must provide at least 6 items of correspondence, addressed to you and your partner jointly or in both your names. The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address for both of you. For example - 4 items of correspondence in joint names to the same address and 2 items addressed to each partner at the address. In total 8 items would need to be submitted. If you and your partner have no bills or correspondence in joint names, you will need to submit 12 items (6 each) of correspondence evidencing that you reside together at the same address.
