Was feeling massive headache for 2 days so I went to hospital to register for antenatal and it was discovered that my BP is high 140/80. I didn't had such through out the first pregnancy.

Dr PRESCRIBED Aldomet 500mg tabs morning and night for 2 weeks.

Please am scared about the dose which I told her that being the first time, wasn't it to too? I thought they will start with small dose and not jump to that high does at once. Dr said no that it's okay for me.

Please is that how they PRESCRIBE the drug? If I start taking it will the bp normalize and I won't need the drugs again? I'm scared of long time use of drugs. The thought of taking it alone is frecking me already.

Please don't waka pass.

Thank God for the successful journey of 9 months and a supernatural child birth.
I conceived my baby due to God's mercy.

Booah! My water broke right before my husband's eyes and he became worried, saying "Honey, your water has broken" then, I realised that I was almost at my peak. Things were happening so fast. With another contraction, I bore down asking my husband to pour water on me since we were in the bathroom. He did, but I needed more water, so I laid in the water and as he was trying to get me to stand up, he shouted" Honey see your baby's head!" My goodness! unbelievable! My baby's head? I felt a very strong urge to push and I started to push. My husband and I were all alone there. To say that he was perplexed is an understatement. He was wondering who he could call for help. Meanwhile, I was already pushing. He summoned courage to take the delivery of our baby. Mind you, he is not a doctor nor a medical worker, neither am I. He kept encouraging me to push and I held on to his arm and pushed with the help of God. To God's glory, our son was born at about 1:16pm before my scheduled meeting!

I had earlier bought a pair of scissors for another purpose and I directed my husband to bring it and like a flash back, I remembered that I had read how to cut an umbilical cord somewhere stating that the cord should not be cut immediately but after the child had inhaled some oxygen which would make the cord turn light blue from white before it could be cut. God's leading and guidance was with us. We successfully cut the cord and called for help while we were at it. My husband could not clamp the cord initially because of panicking. So we joined hands together and God helped us. He sent nurses to our rescue. Who helped me to deliver the placenta and the afterbirth.

God made me to deliver like the Hebrew women before the nurses could arrive. We have gone for routine checks and the doctors have certified us OK!

This could only have been God!!!
We are in awe.

According to her, her mum will keep the proceeds from the farm and use it for housekeeping. My help is the only girl in her family. The one that really pained me was the aunty she gave money to, I asked her if her mum was aware, she said no.

Believe me, I have spoken to her, my husband too did. I told her she needs to save. I sat her down and explained why she needs to save for school, you can't be working and people will guilt trip you into giving them money.

My help is good. She takes care of my kids well, I sincerely have no complaints about her. What if I share her salary, 70-30?? Going to the bank is out of it for now.

I conceived my baby due to God's mercy. My LMP
was on the 10th of August, 2019. I had been trying to conceive for some time to no avail. I underwent an eye surgery in September,
2019. I had no idea that I had conceived before that surgery. I was expecting AF and even wore sanitary towel to the theatre. Unknown to me that God had heard my cry for forgiveness. I was filled with so much joy and gratitude when I later realized that I was pregnant. My heart and prayers goes out to all GTC mothers all over the world. Despite, the fact that I have older children, It is heartbreaking to keep seeing your monthly flow when you are longing to conceive a baby. I pray that God will answer their prayers this month in Jesus' name. Amen.

I went to register in a new hospital on Wednesday, 6th May, 2020 because the hospital that I had been using was sealed up due to a reported case of covid19. I was already 39 weeks gone and I was done and ready to meet my baby. I had a scan that day and as expected was given a very far EDD- 24th May as against 11th &13th of May. The sonographer had told me that my cervix was very closed to my dismay. I had resolved to eat a lot of pineapples or drink castor oil if I didn't fall into labour naturally. I was induced for my earlier pregnancy of my 3rd child, so I did not want to be induced this time around.

However, God had something in stock for me. It all started on Thursday, 7th May, 2020. I hosted a zoom meeting @ 9:00am. After the meeting, I was juggling a lot on my hands and executing managerial functions while reporting to my boss. I had scheduled to host another meeting @ 1:50pm that same day, unknown to me that the meeting was not going to hold.

At 11:30 am, (due to the pandemic, I work from home) I decided to catch some sleep before the next meeting. My husband who was also at home with me and our kids, also joined me in our bedroom while our older kids were going about their home work.

With my DH beside me, I thought of using that avenue to make love to him in order to kick start something. I allowed him to stimulate my ripples which was a no go area throughout my pregnancy because they were quite sensitive. While we were at it, I felt some contractions. I tried to ignore them as I was savouring the moment. This continued until I could no longer bear them. I excused myself and went to the rest room where I had a seemingly unending urination and defecation. I kept checking with clean hands to see if I had lost my plug or something unusual was happening. I saw nothing strange. I just assumed that the contractions that I was having were braxton hicks because they were not regular nor consistent.

After about 10 mins later, we could no longer continue with our game and we suspected that I was experiencing early labour. So I tried to eat something light and get some rest when I did not feel any contraction. When contractions came, they began to intensify and I kept changing labour positions like kneeling on my fours, squatting, standing with my legs apart, swaying my hips from side to side, etc.

At 12:38pm, my boss called me yet again to discuss official matters after we had just chatted on Whatsapp. There and then, I told her that I was in early labour. She screamed and asked me to suspend all work immediately and prayed for me. I had yet another contraction during that call. I asked her to please postpone my zoom meeting till further notice.

With work settled, I told my husband the contents of my hospital bags and we planned to head for the hospital immediately. Then, a very strong contraction came and I felt like going to toilet, my husband was right behind me and said we must leave the house after I had recovered from that contraction. Then, yet another strong contraction joined in quick succession, leaving me with little time to recover. Booah! My water broke right before my husband's eyes and he became worried, saying "Honey, your water has broken" then, I realised that I was almost at my peak. Things were happening so fast. When they told that I had put to birth, they turned the prayer session into praise and worship session, praising God for answered prayers. I have never seen my kids so grateful and elated as they were.

Well for me their service has been okay. Are you paying out of pocket or using insurance? Because of my insurance, I can get a lot of things done like request scan multiple times and get seen quite quickly. I do like my doctor who is quite thorough although I make sure I ask all the questions and he doesn’t rush me. I also get to speak to the nurses on other topics people in general hospitals are taught. So far it’s not been bad.

I have 2 fibroids which caused me some pain and discomfort as they grew with the baby. I checked into the emergency twice when the pain was unbearable and was giving stronger pain relief injections. Outside that, i was prescribed Diclofenac which I probably took 3 or 4 times. I am 35 weeks now. My doctor has said because of the fibroids, I will need to have CS which has been scheduled to happen in a few weeks. So your wife should be fine.

Seize her ATM and change the sim she uses in receiving alerts so she doesn't send money to people anymore. The only person she is supposed to be assisting is her mom. Whenever her mom needs money, she should tell u and u make the transfer ursef. U can also brief her mom on what's happening. She might hate u now but as long as whenever she is done with u and u give her her complete money, she will know u meant so well for her.

I got a live-in help January this year, she would be 19 this year and so far, she has been good, no serious complaints at all. We relate very well.

Now, when she started, she said her monthly payment should go to her mum via her brother's account. Her dad is late.

My husband disagreed, that she cant be working and someone else will take the money. Especially as she just registered for jamb and needs to save for school. He suggested we opened an account for her and whenever her mum needs money, she can make a transfer. The mum sells in the market and they also have farms where they grow stuff for commercial and home use.

Now, this girl doesn't spend 1 naira of that money in my house. She feeds well, I provide every other thing and I pay her. The issue is I check her phone sometimes without her knowledge and my aim is to check her account balance. My people can you believe this girl has only 110 naira in her account.

I went through her messages, various people asking for money. I am only aware of 6k she sent to her mum to help her buy chemicals and stuff to prepare my help's farmland for the new corn season. My help has her farm in her village.

There was a time I checked her phone and saw her balance was low. I didnt tell her, I just used style to ask her about her savings and she told me about the money she gave her aunty. This aunty has 6kids, stays in the same town as us. According to her, she wants to start pap business, so the best person to ask is my 18yr old help who is the same age as her first son??.

This same aunty that we begged and begged to help send this girl's id card and jamb text book then, till today we no see am. I spoke to my help and advised her about spending anyhow. Imagine my disappointment when I checked and saw 110naira.

I dont know if to take this up. I told her never to send money to anyone without my knowledge. This morning, someone was asking her for 2k. Another was asking her for credit.

I want to tell her I'll keep a large chunk of her salary with me, will give her something for airtime or whatever. I kuku buy airtime for her sometimes, the next day I ask her, credit is finished. There's one yeye boy in her text msg asking her for favours.

What do I do? Those with helps should advise pls. I have spoken to her before but I dont think she understands. I even saw where she sent 3k to a friend in her village for someone else's wedding, as per friend of bride.

I think it's unfair for me to just watch her spend anyhow.

Keeping the reat may not augur well with her.
She might think u won't give her her money later. And money is somehow, she might want to leave anytime and u may not have such amount with u. I know of someone whom it happened to and the whole world blamed her for allowing someone else keep her money.
U could however, seize her ATM and change her sim card or change her Mobile app pin so she can only receive alerts but not do anything with the money therein. As the other mama suggested, u could also give her a token from her salary for recharge cards and other girlie expenses.

Sister I already thought of this but the crowd in the bank is discouraging. Besides with the Covid-19 thing, I don't want to expose myself and the kids.

One of my atm card sef has expired but I haven't picked it up for same reasons. The other day, my gateman left home before 7 to the bank and he was number 36, so you can imagine.

I don't know if I can pay her a certain percentage and keep the rest. If she needs it, let her ask me.

The laziness these days is something else!!!
It has gotten to the extent I now make a phone call to hubby who is sitting outside the house to come give me water from the fridge!!!!
My wrist hurts!!!! Is this part of the package too?

Thank God for the successful journey of 9 months and a supernatural child birth.
I conceived my baby due to God's mercy. My LMP
was on the 10th of August, 2019. I had been trying to conceive for some time to no avail. I underwent an eye surgery in September,
2019. I had no idea that I had conceived before that surgery. I was expecting AF and even wore sanitary towel to the theatre. Unknown to me that God had heard my cry for forgiveness. I was filled with so much joy and gratitude when I later realized that I was pregnant. My heart and prayers goes out to all GTC mothers all over the world. Despite, the fact that I have older children, It is heartbreaking to keep seeing your monthly flow when you are longing to conceive a baby. I pray that God will answer their prayers this month in Jesus' name. Amen.

I went to register in a new hospital on Wednesday, 6th May, 2020 because the hospital that I had been using was sealed up due to a reported case of covid19. I was already 39 weeks gone and I was done and ready to meet my baby. I had a scan that day and as expected was given a very far EDD- 24th May as against 11th &13th of May. The sonographer had told me that my cervix was very closed to my dismay. I had resolved to eat a lot of pineapples or drink castor oil if I didn't fall into labour naturally. I was induced for my earlier pregnancy of my 3rd child, so I did not want to be induced this time around.

However, God had something in stock for me. It all started on Thursday, 7th May, 2020. I hosted a zoom meeting @ 9:00am. After the meeting, I was juggling a lot on my hands and executing managerial functions while reporting to my boss. I had scheduled to host another meeting @ 1:50pm that same day, unknown to me that the meeting was not going to hold.

At 11:30 am, (due to the pandemic, I work from home) I decided to catch some sleep before the next meeting. My husband who was also at home with me and our kids, also joined me in our bedroom while our older kids were going about their home work.

With my DH beside me, I thought of using that avenue to make love to him in order to kick start something. I allowed him to stimulate my ripples which was a no go area throughout my pregnancy because they were quite sensitive. While we were at it, I felt some contractions. I tried to ignore them as I was savouring the moment. This continued until I could no longer bear them. I excused myself and went to the rest room where I had a seemingly unending urination and defecation. I kept checking with clean hands to see if I had lost my plug or something unusual was happening. I saw nothing strange. I just assumed that the contractions that I was having were braxton hicks because they were not regular nor consistent.

After about 10 mins later, we could no longer continue with our game and we suspected that I was experiencing early labour. So I tried to eat something light and get some rest when I did not feel any contraction. When contractions came, they began to intensify and I kept changing labour positions like kneeling on my fours, squatting, standing with my legs apart, swaying my hips from side to side, etc.

At 12:38pm, my boss called me yet again to discuss official matters after we had just chatted on Whatsapp. There and then, I told her that I was in early labour. She screamed and asked me to suspend all work immediately and prayed for me. I had yet another contraction during that call. I asked her to please postpone my zoom meeting till further notice.

With work settled, I told my husband the contents of my hospital bags and we planned to head for the hospital immediately. Then, a very strong contraction came and I felt like going to toilet, my husband was right behind me and said we must leave the house after I had recovered from that contraction. Then, yet another strong contraction joined in quick succession, leaving me with little time to recover. Booah! My water broke right before my husband's eyes and he became worried, saying "Honey, your water has broken" then, I realised that I was almost at my peak. Things were happening so fast. With another contraction, I bore down asking my husband to pour water on me since we were in the bathroom. He did, but I needed more water, so I laid in the water and as he was trying to get me to stand up, he shouted" Honey see your baby's head!" My goodness! unbelievable! My baby's head? I felt a very strong urge to push and I started to push. My husband and I were all alone there. To say that he was perplexed is an understatement. He was wondering who he could call for help. Meanwhile, I was already pushing. He summoned courage to take the delivery of our baby. Mind you, he is not a doctor nor a medical worker, neither am I. He kept encouraging me to push and I held on to his arm and pushed with the help of God. To God's glory, our son was born at about 1:16pm before my scheduled meeting!

I had earlier bought a pair of scissors for another purpose and I directed my husband to bring it and like a flash back, I remembered that I had read how to cut an umbilical cord somewhere stating that the cord should not be cut immediately but after the child had inhaled some oxygen which would make the cord turn light blue from white before it could be cut. God's leading and guidance was with us. We successfully cut the cord and called for help while we were at it. My husband could not clamp the cord initially because of panicking. So we joined hands together and God helped us. He sent nurses to our rescue. Who helped me to deliver the placenta and the afterbirth.

All this while, my older children sensed what was happening and began to pray for me in the living room. When they told that I had put to birth, they turned the prayer session into praise and worship session, praising God for answered prayers. I have never seen my kids so grateful and elated as they were.

God made me to deliver like the Hebrew women before the nurses could arrive. We have gone for routine checks and the doctors have certified us OK!

This could only have been God!!!
We are in awe.

MORNING RANT

This pregnancy journey is not for the fainthearted!!!!
The laziness these days is something else!!!
It has gotten to the extent I now make a phone call to hubby who is sitting outside the house to come give me water from the fridge!!!!
My wrist hurts!!!! Is this part of the package too?

Not only my wrist is hurting now sef, my back join am and DH no leave me alone with kpekusing. Can't believe I was sleeping at the prayer ground today (sallah day). Chai! So so tired.
