If there is one offence that many feel Ibrahim Babangida offended Nigerians, it will be the annulment of the most fair election in 1993.

Many feel that he still needs to apologise to us for that incident because many people have lost hope in the electoral system since then and many have vowed to not vote since then?

It's been about 26 years now since the annulment of that election won by Moshood Abiola and Nigeria would have of course taken another turn in democracy and prosperity instead of other regimes of the military and corruption.

He lives in his hilltop mansion in his hometown, Minna, he grants interviews but there hasn't been a detailed memoir, like a book, where he explains his experience as head of state, which of course should include what happened in 1993, with reasons of his annulment of that election.

Is it one of those things we will just never get an explanation for?

Some said he cannot wear his shoes anymore but whatever sickness he has, it is normal for some people at old age as he is 78.

Please go and read about the 1985 coup. It was IBB's coup. IBB and his gang brought in Buhari to give IBB acceptance by the Northern Oligarchy because the North sees Buhari as clean. And when Buhari refused to play game, IBB and his gang wasted no time in kicking Buhari's ass.
