Yes, the welcome to delta state sign is before the bridge on the asaba side. Here is a picture showing the back of it
It is not this one. This is a recent installation by perhaps the Delta State Government. The F.G own is still further behind this very one. and no where close to the bridge in question.

[s][/s] It is there. At the blindspot your camera didn't capture.

What is written on that sign post the camera blindspot didnt get is

ASABA-ONITSHA
EXPRESS WAY
NO STOPPING

Those other "WELCOME TO" and "FAREWELL FROM" sign post were installed by the respective states. And they are both before the bridges on each state.

Mad goat.
this one is coming from the galaxy of broken ego. Ranting about who owns a bridge and you're not worried about your erosion-ridden state.

By your name, I know you're amongst those kola-chewing, chewing stick wielding villagers dressed in worn-out rags looking like the memorabilia of mongo park's relics from the river Niger expedition.

Be claiming bridge while erosion claim your land, inheritance and ancestral gravesites. grin

Good that they reached a truce.

Anambra Govt did well, bc the Federal security positioned there were sabotaging the effort of the state Govt in combating the covid 19 spread by collecting bribe and allowing all manner of travellers into the state at Night

Congratulations Anambra and Delta state.

Nonsense people.

Keep on deceiving yourselves there over a nonsense PLANdemic virus that has a very very very low mortality rate.

If you guys could tackle poverty and unemployment with this manner you are tackling the unseen COVID, I bet nigeria will be counted among the developed countries of the world by now.

Nonsense. sad sad sad

[s][/s] The signpost is on the right hand side of the road well hidden from your camera range. It boldly reads. Welcome to Anambra state.
You have see the signpost i am talking about. It i not easy to see cos it is almost in the middle of nowhere. But it is one of those things you see and you can never unsee.
I saw the signpost one time i was traveling and the only reason i saw it was because of holdup.

Does this bridge belong to Anambra or to Federal Govt? That gate should be tore down and thrown in recycling furnace to melt and fabricate new irons for tollgate on Second Niger Brisge.

The sign has always been there, it used to be rectangular in shape it got defaced and was replaced. The one on the anambra side is pretty new too. I live in the south east but I am from delta state. So i pass there very often.

The signboard might be before the bridge but Delta owns some of the lands after that signboard.
Delta should own all the lands before the bridge naturally, but that is not so according to the F.G (arbitrary) defined state boundaries. I am only speaking technically that all of that bridge is in Anambra state according to the FG. In reality, it is not so. but technically, Delta state has no say whatsoever over that bridge cos all of it is technically in Anambra State.

The Welcome to Anambra signpost is very visible. It is located behind those shacks on the right. Though drivers or sleepy passengers may not notice it easily.

No you are not correct there. The NBC recognizes the bridge as Anambra territory, that's why the signpost is before the bridge.

Make I grab chair siddon dey watch who go win this internet war of if a federal bridge is wholly in one state versus touches each state on either side.

Just like am trying to figure out the value of this wasted argument, am also calling on Seun to come and tell us the medal that will be awarded to the winning side.

From the look of things right now, it appear that both sides are at a stalemate.

If u have been to dose two state u will know wat am talking about, so get understanding and wake up from dis language barrier dat has eaten deeply into u. De fact dat people speak language dat belongs to ur clan does not mean u can have dem e.g Germany and Austria speak German yet dey are different countries

of-course, but my argument is this: we know Asaba and Onitsha are sibling cities, but they are two distinct cities, with non being an extension of the other. Onitsha ends by the river banks at Onitsha, and so do Asaba by the river banks at Asaba. If Asaba is in Delta state, and Onitsha is in Anambra state, it follows that both states should end by the river banks respectively or at least the median of the river. But the F.G arbitrary defined state boundaries put the boundary between both states well after the bridge in Asaba. That is what we are saying. Technically, according to the F.G, the whole bridge and some adjourning lands in Asaba is still Anambra state. We have see this kind of thing somewhere in Ohaji, where one part of the town is in one state, and another part of the same town is in another state.

both states are divided by the river only, delta ends at the river bank while anambra ends on the other end of the river bank too.

No. The whole bridge is on Anambra soil. That's why it is called Niger Bridge Onitsha.

Who told you that? are you sure you are OK? is there a place called NIGER in anambra state, was the bridge built with anambra money? even the onitsha was never built by anambra or with their money, it is stupid of your Governor to barricade from asaba end rather than onitsha, non sense
