Africa Day- Buhari Should STOP France. by AfricanSonDave: 10:59am On May 26, 2020
I read President Buhari’s Africa Day message of peace to African leaders, and I was impressed. Yet, I had concerns about that message for one simple reason- Africa is under covert threat.
How can we continue preaching peace when foreign elements are bent on destabilizing Africa and enslaving Africans?

One typical example of foreign evil is France. France has continued to undermine the peace and prosperity of Africa. They have been fingered for the rise of violence in the Sahel region. France has destabilized Libya. France is a sponsor of Boko Haram that has so far killed tens of thousands of Africans. France has divided ECOWAS member states into anglophone and francophone and now, they have hijacked the Eco brand, just to keep Africans in economic bondage. Yet, we delude ourselves with peace.

We shout peace when we see an enemy staring us in the face. Why are we so naïve?

Africa is the only continent that France toys with, just because Africans have given them the chance. Africans are so docile that subservience comes very easy to them. Imagine France would leave their home in Europe and come to Africa and sponsor violence and destruction. And we allow them !

President Buhari should please keep France in check. There can be no peace in Africa when an enemy is within range. France must be sent packing from Africa and only Nigeria can help actualize that. Nigeria must rally other Anglophone countries and jointly expel France. Only then can we begin to talk about peace in Africa.

Nigeria is bigger than France. Africa is bigger than France. Africa does not need France. Africa gets nothing from France. We owe them nothing. In fact, France needs Africa. They need our natural resources. They need our market. They need our manpower. We do not need them, and we can do without France. Hence, we are in a vantage position. We must not allow France to continue to sponsor violence and division in Africa, for their own interest. We must stand together to send France packing home to Europe. They have no business whatsoever with Africa.

This is not a call to arms. No, we need no arms. As the largest economy in Africa, Nigeria has the economic muscle to crush France. Nigeria gets nothing from France, but their companies make billions of dollars from Nigeria. Companies like Schlumberger, Air France, Lafarge, Elf, Saipem, Total, etc make billions of dollars in Nigeria. There are over one hundred French companies in Nigeria. The Nigerian ports are used by several countries to import French goods. Nigeria should use these advantages to call France to order. France must leave Africa alone. Tens of thousands of Africans have died because of France’s selfishness to hold on to Africa’s economy.

The audacity of France in Europe to hijack the Eco project in Africa is another evidence of their contempt and disrespect for Africa and its peoples. Their audacity to sponsor Boko Haram and widespread violence in Africa is stupefying. And we talk about peace, while the enemy ‘France’ remains unchallenged. No, peace doesn’t come like that.

President Buhari should leverage Nigeria’s economic might to humble France. The threat to nationalize or expel all French companies from Nigeria and ban the importation of all French goods from Nigeria ports is sufficient to humble France.
He could also cut all diplomatic ties with France and ban the French language if necessary. Nigeria gets nothing from France. France must leave our Eco and leave Africa in peace. France must go back to Europe. Nigeria and anglophone African countries should expel French businesses. They are a common enemy and until they behave themselves, there can be no talk of Peace in Africa.

Nigeria should wake up to its God given role of Africa's Leading nation. Nigeria’s peaceful stand has emboldened France. France must leave Africa alone for peace to reign. Enough is enough.

That was when Nigeria had regional Economic might and potential ..The Nigeria of today is a beggar that doesnt have anything to leverage on ...You think a Buhari that is now 100 percent dependent on Western loans can talk down on a western power? Wake up

my brother, go and read. many landlocked francophone countries use nigerias ports to import goods e.g Niger and Chad. all their imports from France come through Nigeria. just ban French goods from Nigerian ports and watch France crumble.

This is not for argument. We have done it before. banning goods does not need depend on beggar-ship. as i said, we get nothing from France and I named their companies that earn billions from Nigeria. Please read again.

The day Africa will move forward is the day we start blaming ourselves instead of the Europeans. Mugabe wey dey form anti-white, e develope his country?
Sometimes, I dey think say na African politicians dey sponsor write-ups wey dey blame whites for African poor state, if everybody blame foreigners, them dey go dey backyard dey loot.

You'd realise soon enough that Nigeria doesn't take many things seriously including what you've written up there.

Buhari's speech was just that -- a speech. Nigeria is as uninterested in her neighbours as the day is bright.

Yes, African leaders have shortcomings... but still some external elements are bent on neo-colonizing the continent. This fact is well known.

Nah. Every nation has internal problems and external problems. The big powers all have internal issues, but that does not stop them from dealing with external and regional challenges. Boko haram and killer herdsmen will come and go, but economic slavery would remain for generations, if we fail to stop it.
