Hello all,
My GMC Terrain 2011 refused to start after replacing complete engine.
Auto electrician diagnosed and said it is either brain box is not good or fuel pump control module need to be look at. Because the fuel doesn't supply to the engine.

What is your take on this please?
And where is the location of fuel pump control module on the terrain?

Cc: lalasticlala please help push. I need expert advice not quacks.

This may be ordinary loose wire connection.

Try U-tube through Google. They will show many similar wire connection problems that will help you figure out yours.

I don't know why you had to replace the engine, but someone who diagnose with random phrases like that should not be doing the job in the first place.

You will have to pull the electronic diagram of the engine and look for a wire the missed or swap wrong.

Answer this question first it is a no crank no start or crank no start basically I want to know if your starter turns then we'll know it's a power supply issue, or if the missed out the CPS or coil / injector wire swapped.

State those things first before we go forward. Did you put in the same engine

It seems like they don't have a scanner if the mechanic is guessing the cause.

OP, tell the mechanic to spray a little fuel in the throttle body your people might call it nozzle to see if it will start for a second, also have someone put their ears near the fuel tank to see if the fuel pump comes on when key turns to accessories. This is to eliminate fuel supply.

Then check if the CPS was installed and please take several pics of the engine close up and post. He might have left one of the sensors unconnected.

This is 2020 and people are still trying to diagnose a 2011 vehicle without a computer. Ok OO.

Meanwhile, recheck and reconnect all the wire harnesses, then check all the ground connections. If that is ok, then scan vehicle to ensure their is communication with all relevant modules. So many ECU's and BCM's have been fried by the ignorance and carelessness of technicians during engine jobs.

Did they reset the oil? In some American Cars, when you change oil, the car has to be reset, so that the ECU will "know" that there is an oil change.
