You this Chinese man with several rings in ten fingers, continue spitting trash okay with fat and questionable salary that can be shared successfully amongst a local government! We are watching and waiting! You'll know that ASUU has a union that can fight this for decades..Good riddance to bad rubbish |

kingi777:Leave story joor.. Most of these lecturers turned their self to demi god. they hardly come to class once in a while. And when they want to come they send junior lecturer Some leave the students and run after other businesses Some lectures in three other private uni Compulsory text book they copied from Google for student to buy In as much that I don't support government harsh decision on them, I think it is a welcome development that they are screened too Some of them do not update their skill, which makes students correct some of them They make our education so difficult that when u travel abroad to study u will see how loving lecturers can be |

[quote author=kingi777 post=90170007]The IPPIS doesn't have any package for payment of allowances to lecturers. Therefore, It's only the basic salaries they now earn. So how does federal government expect them to call off the strike and diligently work when they are forcefully enrolled into IPPIS and striping them of some allowances that make their salaries tangible. BEFORE YOU CRITICISE THE LECTURERS TAKE A LOOK AT THIS; Take home salary for lecturers after IPPIS deduction without allowances: PhD LII is #130,000 PhD LI is #163,000 plus min. 3 years post PhD Senior Lecturer #235,000 plus min. 6years post PhD Professor #345,000 plus min. 10 years post PhD Senior Professor #423,000.... Minimum of 3years gap with hard work. Many spend as high as 5years before they can move up the ladder of promotions. what about salaries for lecturers with BSC and MSC? Curious to know |

I am very surprised many Nigerians believed this lie from the pit of hell. Come to think of it, Federal Government will be paying so much to offset University staff and we are just hearing it for the first time since eight years ago when they started the new tax regime. Ngige is just playing to gallery justifying why they must remove any amount they deemed fit from workers' salary. If FG has been paying so much, why have they been removing it from the source after-all they deduct NHIS from the source. These politicians should spare us all these stories, when did they start to pay tax sef. They taxed us heavily to maintain their opulent lifestyles |

You can't dictate to your employer how to run its business affairs, if your are not pleased quit the job instead of holding the education system to ransome with incessant strike actions. I don't want to criticise the lecturers and Co but there ways are not pure too they are getting out of hand and that's why the FG is coming this hard on them. |

Nigeria lecturers are lazy, they keep on recycling lecture notes for more than a decade and when election comes they will announce election results in duress so that they will pay them. majority of them are corrupt and can't offer anything only to read from text books and copy foreign text to make up there own . we have seen all these an still kept quiet. the government should serve them ryt |

It's so shocking and sad that the rate at which IPPIS and FG are victimising lecturers is not the rate they are checking and monitoring BIG PAYS given to senators and other politicians. |
