So obvious that the school has a long way to go in terms of infrastructural development
These few photos are only post graduate school and faculty of law,
University of Calabar is a very big campus don't judge from these three photos because the main gate entrance alone is very beautiful.

Na lautech be that grin
LAUTECH is bigger than UNICAL with some few exceptions. LAUTECH has no staff quarters no students hostels. Unical library consists of law students lecture room and ict centre hence bigger than Prof Oke library. The way lautech segregate some faculty/college away from the main campus only makes it look smaller. All structures in unicals are within the same boundary. I'm a product of both schools.

These are visually good for West and Central African standards.

Visuals of facade. E still look dusty. Somalia standard.

When it comes to the building mechanics like plumbing systems, mechanical systems (AC, indoor air quality, hot water, sprinkler), and electrical systems. - then you will know that this is an empty vessel.

Academically too, this is an empty vessel.

I would love to heap praises for nigeria; I can't because Nigeria is too mediocre and we are so content with that, dey act like the wise ones anyhow.

We are very capable of being great, just like America, China, Europe, and all the great nations by great people.

Calabar is such a beautiful and neat place

True!

I moved from Lagos to Calabar and I love the city for the most part of things.
The environment's cleanliness is unmatched. It arguably has one of the best drainage systems in Nigeria; this is owed to the city's superb town planning.

Who are those insulting my unical? My Alma mata? Best university in West Africa? These pictures are not true representation of unical. There are far better pictures if one should go round to mine some quality pictures from different locations.

As for those asking why all the buildings on same colour of paints, that is the standard colour for all the buildings located within the school. Every building within the school land must carry green roof, yellow body mixed with red. That's the school standard.

For those taunting my school, the Op clearly stated that he couldn't find a drone to take pictures. The guys with the drones are not even on nairaland, they made one video like that so beautiful. Unical is one of the cleanest universities in Nigeria. Our bragging rights then was "with over 50,000+ population, the air is still unstuffy, perhaps it's the ocean". And yes there's a massive flowing river behind the school library, the great kwa river, it's a scenic view. Leave am unical fine.

Are u serious? That's very sad if true o.

If only there had been visionary governors after Donald Duke, Calabar should have been a tourist haven by now comparable to Cape town and Marrakech
It is not d fault of Gov. Ayade per se, it all started immediatelly after d world court judgement dat sided BAKASSI to Cameroon which host must oil firms in Calabar and d allocation of d remaining oil blocks to akwa ibom state couple with d huge debt and low igr. so my fellow Nairalanders it is not going to b easy 4 any governor to do much based on d aforemention.

Thanks very much. Your post has shed some much needed light. With the beauty and neatness of Calabar plus the friendliness and welcoming nature of its people the city has huge tourism potential. If only Tinapa can be fully functional , Obudu resort expanded and both allied to the Calabar carnival, that city can make billions of dollars from tourism that would make previous oil earnings look like peanuts

To the malabites and malabresses in the house, i have a question ooo. There was an ongoing construction beside the ETF/Chemistry dept office assumed to be dedicated for some clinical dept when i was graduating in the year 2015. Had it been completed?

Lmao. Kiss your arguably goodbye. grin OAU that is an exhibit for unkempt, full of long grasses, mosquitoes and snakes. Lol. My bro actually went there and was on about OAU being the best in beauty he's ever seen until he came to my school. I loved how the word 'dumbfounded' couldn't vividly explain his expression.

Lol... Doesn't matter if it's a drone or not. No drone image would change the fact that there aren't even enough parks for vehicles and owners have to park on the road.
