Support your own instead of giving your money to some racists abroad. Then maybe studying abroad won't even be considered worth it.

cool

not much if you ask me

only reason Federal Universities pay less is because ASUU lecturers get paid with Niger Delta Oyel money

$1,500 tuition + accomodation

.

Very soon, you will start hawking your oyel in Lagos holdups and drink the rest because price of crude oil in the international market is tending towards $0

Much better to go and learn a trade rather than paying these huge school fees

hahahaaa keep deiciving yourself... soon after the lockdown are relaxed globally, the demand for our brent crude oil would skyrocket and i see OPEC cuts here and there with russians and people would guzzle on our crude oil and pay minimum of $80

300+? Fee for what?

It is not a must you go to a private university. People can say whatever they like about ABUAD, Covenant, and Babcock universities, but those schools are very good. The quality of their graduates speaks for itself. So many bottom tier private universities these days, I really don't understand why people bother at all.

Business starts from somewhere... If they run the school well, they'd get to covenant level
Re: Veritas University: A Look At The School Fees Structure (photos) by Ijawwomaninoyo: 6:07pm On Jun 05, 2020
There are Primary schools in Lagos and Abuja that pay even more.
Imade and Jamjam pay N3m at kindergartens level.

I went through websites of some private universities today before I decide which one to go...

I decide to you guys at least the school fees structure of one of the universities.....no special reason for choosing Veritas University school fees structure.

Going by the school fees structure of Veritas University as a sample, can go to private university in Nigeria or travel out for my study?

Note: school fees structure of returning students (undergraduate) and Postgraduate diploma are also on the website but I am tire of screenshoting... grin

The traditional classroom is gradually going redundant.

Try Nexford University.

Online. Foreign. Unbelievably cheap.

And enough time for you to learn some other skills while schooling.

Common sense

Some businesses shouldn't start from somewhere at all, especially education and definitely not higher education. What will they be teaching on 300+?

Education is not cheap it comes with a pride. The aforementioned universities are competitive with limited space. It would be foolish for someone to condemn studying at private university whereas their counterpart abroad charge similar fees. Again you would easily graduate on time in private university than the aforementioned universities.
This is Nigeria, of what benefit is spending nothing less than 5m on university education when a job isn't guaranteed ?

While studing abroad, u can get a job and still earn while studying which isn't possible in a Nigeria private uni.

I don't condemn private uni. I just feel parents should be ready to bail the student out since they could afford to spend that amount on a child's education.

U went to a private uni and still applied for 30k job. E go hard before the parent eat from their investment on such child.

Sister, you have to consider payment of lecturers, payment of other non teaching staff too, and they might be on loans too...

Moreover state schools like LASU etc charge up to 400k for some courses e.g Engineering

FG subsidizes school fees, that's why we think fg are cheaper

Also, some primary schools in Lagos, pay up to 2M/annum

Yeah! By the time the government stops payment of subventions (if they haven't), fees are federal universities will skyrocket

That is not true. By the time you add visa fee, hostel accommodation, international passport, air ticket and tuition fees, you would have spent more

It was a slight exaggeration but I maintain this is enough to get you out of Nigeria especially if your plan is to go out and work while you study.

Definitely you can study in China for less even without the side hustle.

Lol... Sis... In other private schools like Igbinedion, Covenant, Babcock, Redeemer, Age Babalola etc, the tution alone is almost 500k..

And federal schools can not admit everyone, and not everyone has the ability to keep jambing...

It is better to seek admission for years than stay years unemployed.

Let me share my personal experience with u

I wrote OAU post jamb 3times before getting admission. It was up to 3yrs coz i decided not to attend a Poly or College of edu. After graduating in 2010, my parents told me to find a business i am sure of handling. They gave me 3m to invest. I travelled to dubai for 2yrs and was able to increase the money to 5m.
Came back to Nigeria and started school business.

One need to have good and solid plan in this country. If not, it may be too hard to find ur bearing.

My younger bro finished from Convenant but wasn't given any cash since he chose a private uni. He is currently working as my bursar/ accountant pending when he get a better offer.
U can't just depend on just ur CERTIFICATE , there should be a PLAN B.

Life after school is mor
