Hello my naira Landers,

I advertised on IG last week, and saw ARS120 before placing it.

After running the ad in less than 2hrs, I was surprised to have seen charges of $73/$120 as my spend. And I don't understand that, considering the first quotation before activating the ad.

And to my greatest surprise, my account hasn't being debited for any charges.

You should not be charged more than 400naira for that amount of reach.

You set a budget of 120$ why did you do that bro? You need to do research on this things before you begin

Actually I don't understand the estimate shown me after my target was 120 Australian peso; which I checked the exchange rate to be N600 plus. But shocked to see $73 as my spend which keeps me wondering. That's why I brought it here for more clarifications to enable me do better in future ads.

Never setup you ads using instagram platform , Even if ad is meant for instagram you can do everything from facebook just create a facebook page link your instagram acct and setup your ads from there, there is a dedicated Ad manager for this!

That means if I want to run ads on Instagram, I should do I through Facebook page? Although I saw the ad on my FB page today and was surprised. And I didn't place it on FB...just linked page anyway.

Is it advisable I download ad manager separately?

But in future can I spend like one thousand naira to run ads?

You don't need to download anything bro, Ad manager is included on all facebook pages, you can even spend 780naira I think that's the lowest, yes it means go through facebook and launch your ads, now about escaping that 73$ , since they are cocky not to allow you Unlink your card then you have to empty the funds on that card if it a CC but if it is a DC then my brother just transfer all the funds from that bank account asap

Pls I recently created an Instagram Ad to run for 5 days with a budget of #4000. It's been 2 days only and I just received a debit alert of almost #5,500
Seriously in shock because I don't understand why I'm being charged way above my limit for only 2 days of Ads and I can't seem to stop or edit the Ad. Please help a sister.
