On the other hand even numbers tend to bring symmetry in the composition making it appear less natural.

It is one of the elements of food presentation/plating

Some other key elements are colour consideration, focal point and texture

@ pocohantas this is what I was trying to point out about odd numbers

This is a classical superb presentation @Starbuck

1. Meat=protein
2. Jollof rice=Carbohydrate
3. salad=mineral/vitamin

3 main food group combine to make it an odd number presentation.

I broke my promise bcoz of @Poco

@Mariangeles do more research French & Italian cuisine, go to where (Michelin rated) these continental dishes with elaborate exquisite plating are prepared, or better still enrol in a culinary institute
