Church as a building to gather people for religious routine practices or services is a concept of man.
My Brother Church was Encouraged in the Bible by GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF..

Read the Book of Revelation and see GOD HIMSELF speak to the Various Churches and their locations.

Paul the Apostle the Writer of more than half of the New Testament had to Follow the spirit of GOD in Creating Churches ( physical locations)

It's not a Man thing. Read your Bible well sir

GOD BLESS U

You don't have a problem since your mind is not with them anymore just join the new place you heart is leading you to
But I'll advice you to relocate first to avoid them questioning you

All you need is look out for the religion that teaches the truth. Not just attending, what they're doing n saying,is it in line with Jesus' instructions?

Isaiah 48:17'18
Matthew 7:13-14

I actually don't have any problem with the church, pastor or any member.
It's just that my heart is no longer in the church, as in, I am just forcing myself to attend it's Sunday services and because of the fact that my heart is not there, I don't enjoy the services unlike before.

Few tips on why I lost interest:
1. The church is too close to my house
2. The environment is quite not presentable
3. It's more of a family church,
4. The way his son( the junior pastor runs the church as if it's his personal business, too authoritative).
Honestly, I totally fell out of love with the church and I wish to change.
So what's the best way to do that without hurting or causing problems??
Thank you for being sincere.

Have you read the book, "Becomng a Faithful Christian in Africa"?

If you read that book, you will have a clearer direction on what to do and how to do it.

Get that book

-Once your are convinced the new church ia Good then stop totally

The choice is yours to take, it not do or die, better still you can leave the environment if you are not comfortable with them seeing u, or u Cruze in your ride with out using your leggedize so as to avoid stupid question or better still follow your mind, with time the pressure will fade away.

parents have so much inculcate religion and fear in the kids from an early age in Africa, most especially the mothers, these allow them to be bully when they get old by mare assumptions and societal pressure on matters concerning religion. even the educated once are not left out, they can't think straight, if God is questionable, who is human? Religion is dynamic...learn to be wise. some religion men Will also want to use it and create fear in their follower.. knowing fully well that this has been a tradition in Africa.

Miss church for two Sundays, if they don't ask of you, from there stop the church with the excuse that you were terribly sick and no one cared to check on you. I hate to say that but that's the easiest way people quit church around my region.

People are careful about who barbed there hair, who make their clothes, the restaurants we eat but hardly considers where and who feeds our souls.

The journey of faith could be easy and speedy when you seriously take this seriously. Your teacher can make you a better student or a bad one. You know why many of us are not good with mathematics or some subjects? Bad teachers.

I want to tell everyone who cares to listen, when we get to heaven God will not ask us to fallin as per denominations so take your spiritual lives serious and personal.

Go to places where you will be appreciated not where you are tolerated. Go to where you will be free to serve God with joy, love , in truth and in spirit, you owe no allegiance to anyone but God and unless God asked you to stay there.

If the Church does not influence your life positively, I'll advise you to leave. When I was in school I remembered one church I was attending I felt empty while going to the church. As God would have it I was introduced to another church and the church helped in building my spiritual life. It's not about the church but your personal relationship with Christ. There lots of churches God doesn't recognize, pray that God should lead you to a church.

1. Stop paying tithe.(They will confront you) grin grin grin
2. Gradually hand over church properties to office or junior officer
3. If you are in a coporate church like mine, and an officer, pls write a letter with your grieviances before going to another parish except you are changing church entirely.
4. Call it quit.
5. Thank me later!

If you don't mind sharing what exactly happened so that we can both learn and also advise rightly.

Sit at home, study your bible and pray that God should give you divine understanding.
Moreover, there is no Church or Mosque in heaven. If God can see you when you commit sin in d hidden place of your room, home etc,why won't same God hear you when you pray from there.
Some pastors will be saying bad thing will happen to 'them' if one don't come to Sunday service. All na saka manje
Christianity is one of d many ways to make heaven. God reveals himself to different people in different ways. Our forefathers weren't Christians or Muslims but they have d idea of God and some of them are in heaven.

The Church today is just a social gathering not a worship center. God can be worshiped from anywhere.Poverty and ignorance make Church business trend in Africa.
Sir, who tell you there is no church in heaven? the gathering of people today that you are calling social gathering is an instruction from God Almighty, so that people can have a unified understanding about him, what he wants and what he detest, it was known as solemn assembly. Deuteronomy 16:8 - Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
And as per what you posted that there is not church in heaven. Check below
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.

Hmmmm...... JAMB question.... I always thought the best way was to just stop attending one church and start attending another. But this question made me think hard about it. Now I believe the best way is to move the church to some other location..... and bring the new church to replace it.
