BREAKING!!! IPOB Members Stage A Heavy Protest In Aba, Defy Military Presence (Photos)

The members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, staged a heavy protest in Aba, Abia State.

IGBERE TV correspondent monitoring the protest said they are protesting over the killing of christians and Biafrans in Nigeria.

IGBERE TV reports that the IPOB members defied different military checkpoints with Biafra flags and other items.

IGBERE TV had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said IPOB members are using cover of Christianity – and calling for a US Special Envoy to be appointed to stop the “genocide” of Christians in Nigeria. But the real purpose is to drive a wedge between the Nigeria government and its US and UK/European allies."

Reacting over the petition, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the group said its members have destroyed Nigeria and by the time they are done with them, the name Nigeria will cease to exist.

They have the right to protest as the citizens of the country, in as much the protest is not violent.

To those telling me about IPOB being outlawed, you can see these protesters though may be IPOB members, aren’t with IPOB insignias, name or banners. The reason why the Nigerian army will need to retreat not attacking them or arresting them.
The Nigerian military knows that there is nothing showing IPOB with them to use as evidence to get them arrested.

The protest looks like people doing egungun festival.

But the funny part of this protest is seeing men in charms and traditional religion’s costume protesting the killings and persecution of Christians.
Isn’t that hypocritical?

The Government should take their law and order to the North East and North west, the whole world has been doing the black lives matter and there is no casualty but a Nigerian military used by APC Government will go about shooting peaceful protesters but cower before boko haram

What law have they broken with their protest? It's careless talks like yours that embolden the Buhari govt to oppress the poor masses of Nigeria.
Almost everywhere in Nigeria, lives are being lost without the govt doing anything and when reasonable people decide to protest you come out to spew rubbish because you hate them.
