The Story Of God's Great Lonliness by nencounter10: 7:48pm On Jun 06, 2020
God had been in existence before the beginning. He existed from eternity past, in a realm where time has no meaning. He alone was in existence. He could create anything he wanted. But inspite of that, he felt lonely. He was the only one of his kind.

He wanted to have children. Children born out of loins.Children that are of his kind-the God kind.

So, in the beginning he created the heavens and the earth. He created the third heaven to be his dwelling place. He created numerous angels to serve him. He created the earth to be the birth place of his children. For millions of years he kept creating beings in his image and his likeness. To have Dominion over all other creations. And, above all to be agent through which his children will be born. For some reasons, God wanted his children to have a physical body. To crown it all, God gave the being he had created a will so that they could choose to live for him and serve him of their own volition ; but sadly, time and time again, those beings went rogue, and God had to destroy them by sending a deluge upon the earth.

Time and Time again God repeated the experiment of creating animals and a crown creation, testing the crown creation, deluging the earth at the failure of the crown creation to pass the test. No human know how many times God had performed the experiment, but in Genesis 1: 2 God decided to perform another version of the experiment.

Please note that while verse 1 of Geneses tells us when God created the heavens and the earth. It made it clear that as at Geneses 1:2 the earth was already in existence though empty(void), formless, dark, and deluged.

What is popularly called the story of the creation of the earth should more correctly called the story of the renovation of a previously damaged earth and the creation of new set of living being and the renovation of the first heaven(firmament).

Let's look at it together from scriptures.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Insertion mine
1:2 And the earth was without form(formless), and void(empty); and darkness(dark) was upon the face of the deep(water). And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Verse 1 above tells us when the heavens and earth were created.

Verse 2 tell so us that though the earth was fomless, empty, dark, and deluged; yet it was. It was already in existence before God said let there be light.

Bible made it very clear that there were prehistoric being on the earth.

Let's look at the scriptural proofs.

PROOF 1: The command to replenish the earth.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

The word replenish means "to fill up again." Here God was clearly telling us there were prehistoric beings which previously populated the earth

PROOF 2: Previous destruction of the earth with water.

2 Peter 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Peter tells us here that the previous world was destroyed by water. The current world is reserved for destruction by fire.Note that the word used here is "world" and not "earth".

PROOF 3: Use of the word "dragon" in the Bible.

Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

We all know that dragons are prehistoric animals.

When during this particular experiment man too went rogue and God decided to destroy the world again with water, Noah found Grace in the sight of God and thus he made it unnecessarily for God to carry out a completely clean slate.

In order to save mankind God had to give birth to a son without reference to human will. The son was destined to die for mankind so that God can have more children with reference to human will.

When Jesus was born, that was the first time that God would know the joy of fatherhood. For the first time in his life another being was born after his kind. Thus came the end of God's loneliness.

Every time a person gives his life to Christ and becomes born again, God feels the joy of fatherhood afresh, because another being had come to existence after God's kind.

Every child of God is a God. He is a member of the God family. He is one of the God-kind.

It is the destiny of every human being to be a child of God. The day you give your life to Christ is the day you find your destiny.

After finding your destiny the next thing is to find your purpose and fulfil it.

Your destiny in life is not to be a husband or wife; nor a farther or mother; nor an engineer or accountant or any of such.

You are here for the purpose of finding your destiny and your purpose. Any other thing is trivial.

If you have not done so, you need to give your life to Christ so that you can enter into your destiny.

If you want to give your life to Christ follow the instructions below.

You'd have to justify why he killed innocent women and children too.

So this lonely god makes people but decides they are too dirty or inferior for him to interact with them meaningful but is going to burn them in eternal torment for whatever slight he believes they committed against his absence. Slights like falling in love with the same sex, thinking of a hot woman, not believing he exists and other petty stuff. At some point he was going to burn people for eating crayfish or pork but he somehow changed his mind.

Maybe the loneliness turned this your god insane.

You got it all wrong. People don't go to hell fire because of what they did. They go to hell fire for who they are.

And just like I responded over there, you make your god sound like a lunatic more and more.

If your god who you say created the human race due to loneliness is going to torture people for being born the wrong way then he should take the blame.

Maybe something or someone should torture your god to see how he likes it.

The socks is on the other foot! This is not really about him sending people to hell, but about him frantically trying to save them from it. To create the existing offer of salvation it cost him his only begotten son. If you have kids you will know what that means. It is incredibly easy to accept Jesus as Lord and savior. It beats me why people won't

He created them to ease his loneliness but when they turned out wrong by reason of the agent he let run amok in the first place he decides that best solution is to torture them eternally. The caveat being if you believe in his absent self you don't go to be tortured but he refuses to give sufficient interaction to establish his reality so people like me don't believe so our end is to be tortured. SMH.

We've been there and done that. Jesus like the rest of it is comforting fiction, ain't no magic sky wizard coming to save you.

Where did you ever read God got lonely? He was ALONE before creation had a beginning.(Ps 90:1, 2; 1Ti 1:17.) Nowhere does it say God got lonely and he got bored, rather God created all things for his honor and pleasure(Re 4:11)

And dragons mentioned in the bible are symbolic creatures, it was never to be understood as a real animal but in its symbolic sense as the Devil. (Re 12:7-9)

Dragon occurs 13 times in the Bible but only in the highly symbolic book of Revelation, and it represents Satan the Devil.

What John saw in his vision was a dragon or an animal that is not of our time even though in that vision it represents the devil.

The usage of the word dragon in the Bible is am implicit admission that prehistoric animal exist.

John could have seen a serpent( another animal used to represent the devil).

What John saw his vision was as animal not belonging to our time which he called dragon. It is left to the reader to realise that according to that vision's interpretation, the dragon represents the Devil.

In the symbolic book of Revelation, Satan is described as the “great fiery-colored dragon, with seven heads and ten horns,” having a tail that draws “a third of the stars of heaven” after him.(Re 12:3, 4)

Questions for you, has there ever bean any animal alive or dead with SEVEN HEADS and TEN HORNS on it before? Have there been any animal whose TAIL can reach the STARS in heaven and DRAG down to the earth 33% of the STARS TO EARTH (* A Star is as big as the Sun)? Such animal never existed and will never exist. That dragon simply means satan as the Bible said.

Don't draw direct analogy from the books of Revelation and Genesis. Rev. 1:1-3 clearly shows that it's content were presented in SIGNS and not Literally like in genesis account. The genesis account was a real serpent but unlike the usually serpents this one spoke because it was possessed by Satan.

You still failed to see my point. I wonder why. Dragons existed. Scientist have seen their fossils. Bible uses the animal dragon is a symbolic representation. This is Bible announcing that prehistoric animal exist. There is something called inference in comprehension. Even though the book of Revelation talks of dragon with seven heads, the inference is that a dragon with one head once existed.

This is purely an issue of comprehension.

For the records, I understand the symbolism in the book of Revelation , but it isn't my focus in this thread.

I have you to thank, not withstanding, for pointing out that the word dragon exist in the book of Revelation only. I will remove the scriptural reference in deutoronoy. Apart from that intention of my post remains valid.

Scientist have found the fossil remains of DINOSAURS and not DRAGONS. Dinosaurs and Dragons are two different things. Dinosaur was a real animal that walked the earth, why Dragon is a symbolic/mythical creature/monster/beast( note not an animal).

You can google search the difference between dragon and dinosaur

This is new to me. Can you show where you saw that scientists found dragon fossils?

Dragons are purely symbolic creatures or mythical creatures. PteroSAUR like the DinoSAUR (notice they both end in SAUR) are species of now extinct reptiles.

I agree with you that the type of God Op is portraying is a wrathful and self absorbed God. That's definitely not the God of the Bible though.
But @bolded, the Bible says "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." Psalm 19:1-4a
God has given us two books, The Book of Nature (Everybody reads this) and the Book of Scripture. The Bible also says the HolySpirit is in the world today convicting the hearts of men(that is like tugging at people's hearts).
So basically no human that as walked on this earth can say they did not have the opportunity to know God and noone who truly wanted to know God can say God didn't reach out to them.

Just my two cent.

Evidence that can be used to point to anything is evidence of nothing. If this same nature is used as evidence of some other types of gods then we have no reason to believe any.

Besides the god of the bible is a vengeful god. How else do you explain the need to kill both the unborn and little children?

Well not really... The whole point of gathering evidence is to narrow down our assumptions. Most of the other types of gods are subject to the same constraints within the universe as we are and their holy books assume the universe itself is eternal. As I said earlier, it's not just the book of nature we have but also the book of scripture and God reaching out to those who truly want to know him.
The Bible is the only holy book(and holy books that take the Bible as it's source i.e Islam, Mormons) that claims the universe itself has a beginning and it's creator is transcendent to the universe.

Yea, I know that part usually trip 21century readers up ...that's because we usually read those passages out of their ancient near eastern context and sometimes we read them out of the literary genres context.

Here a quick 8mins video that I believe does a pretty good job in putting a couple of those passages in their context, incase you are interested just for the sake of it.

The is no evidence that says the universe is not eternal. We do not know what preceded the big bang so we cannot say whether the universe is eternal or not. Besides nature still is not evidence for your particular god since you have not provided sufficient evidence to rule out any of the other god claims.

I wasn't talking about the supposed conquest of Canaan, I was referring to the supposed flood. Though the actions of the Israelites is also despicable. Your so called context is no excuse.

Yeah,it's true we do not know what preceded the big bang because it will always remain unknowable to us, but as long as we have in inflationary big bang model as our theory of how the universe got started then the implication is that, this universe, this particular one we are part of has a beginning and is not eternal. Even with the inflationary big bang model ,it's still anybody's best guess what exactly happened at some of the earliest moments of the universe around the10^-36 seconds(that's like 0.000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds) and 10^-32 seconds, i.e like what started the inflation? Is it still ongoing today, constantly spitting out pocket universes with ours being on of those universes? what stopped it at the 10^-32 secs when normal expansion took over? Or if the universe started out as pure space? But what we do know is the universe didn't exist in a steady state and the more people study black holes, the clearer the picture will be.

As I said earlier, the Bible stood alone as the only holy book that has a universe with a beginning, a universe with fixed laws and a creator outside of space-time itself. And the Bible does also say, aside of the book of nature, God is always ready to reach out to anyone who is willing to get to know Him.

Also, context is kinda really important not just with the Bible but with many other things in life. A simple statement like "He's gone" can be interpreted in many different ways if no context is provided. I know I've personally had to call people up because they took a message I wrote out of context and got mad because they misinterpreted it.
And if you are curious about the flood story, I believe "the bible project" (the youtube channel of the video I posted last) has a pretty good short overview of that story.
