Good day Barbie,I have been following your thread and your YouTube channel. Please I need your help.
Can you help me find out how a medical doctor here in Nigeria can relocate and work in UK, Australia or Canada ?

Also,if someone studies Nursing for 3years in UBTH ,can she be eligible to apply for work in UK ? Or the person still needs to do one year, eight months midwifery course ?

Should we start applying for NCLEX and Philippines visa now or should we wait for more time.

Black lives matter, they have reconsidered their racism act concentrating only on Filipino and this cut across all these agencies. Nonsense....

On the contrary, many other agencies keep processing irrespective of the ban and the retrogression.
Avant resumes processing majorly to be part of other agencies that will take advantage of the impending 25,000 visa in the rescilence act Which is deemed to be passed before the Senate August break.

it is expected that the current retrogression in the visa issuance will be totally off by October (beginning of another fiscal year in the immigration) so as accommodate the results effects of the rescilence act.

As for the ban on Nigeria, the agencies recognize the import place place Nigerian nurses occupy in their usual business and as such they are set to file waiver for the nurses.

Keep hope alive and keep doing what you need to do.

...God is still saying something.

This is your opinion...Have you considered why most agencies prefer Filipinos to Africans, please don't argue this point. Just recently they established an Nclex centre in Africa claiming they are ignorant of African Nurses traveling to another continent for the exam. Asia has 2+ Nclex centres even in India that retrogression is nothing to write home about. This people knows what they are doing. Ask yourself this question, Why is the Nclex centre not in Ghana or Nigeria. I am 100% sure that once a nurse graduates in Nigeria, as they are taking their Nigeria lincensure, they will be pursuing U.S own if the center is here.

This will cause an influx of blacks in U.S. Furthermore, how many blacks compared to Filipino nurses do you see featured by these agencies. Even if you choose to ignore the facts and reality by your opinion, no prob, but you better shine your eyes. All you see is not really the way it seems.

To become a doctor in the uk you would need to take ielts academic, then sit for your plab 1 and plab 2.

For nursing, you do not need to do the midwifery program. Just pass ielts academic and take CBT and then OSCE.

Both plan 1 and CBT are written in Nigeria while the latter is in the UK only.

Hi, due to COVID, there's a backlog of Pre Reg nurses yet to write their OSCE exams. As a result, recruitment may be slow until they're cleared.

However, there's should still be recruitments going on when the lockdown is totally eased.

Hope this helps..

I sent you CBT materials as requested.

About the licence verification as an intern Nurse, I spoke to NMC uk about this issue recently and they said you can start your UK registration as soon as you pass your Nursing council exam. However, I have come to understand that NMCN might not want to send your license verification immediately you finish school but I'm not entirely sure if NMCN will refuse to give NMC UK your records when they request for it so it is worth a try, you can also try to get a letter from your school to claim that you have passed the Nursing council exam if NMCN refuse to send your verification and see if that makes a difference. If that doesnt work then my advice would be to start studying for and Writing the IELTS exam in the meantime.

If you want to be a midwife in the UK, you need to register for CBT midwifery, midwifery jobs are hard to get but not impossible, there are also few study materials Available for CBT midwifery. Unfortunately I dont have any. If anyone has materials for CBT midwifery please send them to me too. Thanks in advance.

If you did the 18 months Nursing program and you want to be an Adult Nurse in the UK, you only need to verify your 18 months Nursing qualification. You also need to inform NMCN and your school to send a letter to NMC UK saying your 18 months nursing program qualifies you to be a Registered Nurse.

@chuksozy if you have the funds then in my opinion relocating with your family at the same time is a good idea. Apart from the fact that you get everything done together as a family e.g visa, flights, gp registration etc, your wife will be more stable mentally to deal with the pressures of a new workplace and a new lifestyle. Living in a new country can be very stressful, intimidating and lonely. Avoid it if you can.

@MrsAnn thank you for defending @Bluebeard, you couldn't have said it better. We are all here to learn and mistakes are inevitable, I'm also learning from you guys here and most of the comments I read are enough to see me smiling through the day. I expecially laughed loud and long when bluebeard called vickyehi an auxiliary. I was like "what? You did not just say that!" Anyway, Thank you vicky for your diplomatic and intelligent answers and thank you @Auschris for clearing that misconception about Avant. It is nice to see you back on the thread.

Happy Nurses week to all the friends I haven't met yet, that includes you too! Please Stay safe during this pandemic.
Thank you so much Barbie for all you do for us here,i do follow you on youtube.thanks for all the information. Pls can you help me with the materials for CBT exam including those materials recently added.thank you in advance as I wait for your response

What it counts as is whatever the evaluator (iqas, ices, wes) says it is equivalent to. In the past, some people have been successful in isolating each degree and getting a report saying 2 or more certificates.
Provincial nomination means that the province (states) find you as a good fit to relocate and establish in their province. You mustn't have a relative there to nominate you (that only applies in some provinces such as Saskatchewan and manitoba). Each province have their criteria, so read about their criteria to know which you qualify for.
