Taking of mules it reminds of an incident

Mules r used to transport food weapons ammo etc along mountain terrains along loc .

So once a mule train came under artillery fire , so the mule handlers and the mules dispersed pretty quick and after shelling subsided it was found one mule was missing .

All search was for the MIA mule proved futile

All hope was given up of seeing the comrade again.

Around 6 or 7 months ( can't remember exact period ) later to everyone's suprise the MIA mule made a suprise appearance at one of the supply posts bearing gifts.

The fella simply waltz in and took position at his feeding trough as if he was reporting for duty after a sanctioned holiday leave.

Later to the merriment of the army guys it was realised that the mule had during the artillery shelling unknowingly crossed the border , got captured and put in pak... army service.

And as befitting a patriotic 4 legged soldier he made a break for his home country at the first opportunity and as a middle finger to his erstwhile captors he made good with their load of MG3 MMGs and a no of ammo boxes

For his bravery the mule was given a military award and retired to spend rest of his days peacefully . There is no doubt he earned his pension
