tstv failed by going to tap broadcast rights of a middle Eastern company. Multi choice had paid for those rights in Nigeria legally. Tstv has their self to blame

But we could have supported them, give them the needed encouragement even at that. After all, you don't throw away the bad water with the baby

The promoters of tstv talk too much. on top of that they lack foresight and proper businesses strategy.

How and why should they keep what they do to themselves please?
It is never a crime to "make noise" about what you do or your company.
That is called : ADVERTISEMENT .
Coca-cola "make noise' every time also,
so do Pepsi, and other Big corporations,
but they have been around forever.!

It is sad things do not work for them.
We need a reliable indigenous cable TV in our darling country.

But with all these thieves, called politicians having a sizeable shares in all the South African firms since 1999 till now, make it happen?!

Question for the day!

Most Nigerian investors don’t know anything about business. Tomorrow we see an Asian investor come into the country being given unfavourable business conditions and they still survive from industry Nigerians ones pulled out

The Asians come with no government support, infact with severe business conditions and they still survive. We really have no point as Nigerian investors seriously. We just don’t know what we are doing.

One thing I know for sure one day an indigenous digital TV station would rise and displace DSTV.

Nigeria failed TSTV. A serious nation would never allow a foreign entity operating within its borders bully an indigenous company. That was what DSTV did to TSTV.

The support the government claimed was given to TSTV was never ironclad.

Have you ever read the book 'The Art of War? One quote in that book says "Know yourself and know your enemies, in some battles you will win.
Television is not all about football, football, football, i will advertise in Golf, Life and Fine living channels, that where my clients are found

TSTV is a classic example of keeping your plans to yourself........they made so much noise and their competitors silenced them
They had a good business plan, but the government shut them down. DStv is a dubious and greedy company, unfortunately they bribe our Rulers to look the other way, while the masses suffer. No country pays more to DStv than Nigeria, even in Ghana their premium subscription when converted to Naira is less than 6k.

They didn't perfect their business plan properly, they wanted an over night success but they forget that things don't work that way in this country.

TSTV. I will never forget them. They came like they were bragging like giants that will unseat DSTV. People that could not even afford rights to broadcast from a sports network. Shame on them. Eastern businesses and their thing for sub standard services.

May lord delver you from tribalism. U stink badly. Shame on u.

That you said is the problem.
Because they are Nigerians, other Nigerians will feel that they don't know what they are doing. Let's not support them.
But when we see Asians, we feel, "Ah, these ones are white skinned. They know what they are doing. Let's support them"".

Always keep your cards close to your chest, and keep your powder dry.
They made so much noise that allowed their competitors to sabotage them.

Sorry TSTV

They never had any card or any solid plan .

This reminds me of HITV same fate happened to TSTV May God expose whosoever is behind this mockery DSTV needs to be sanctioned, but who are we to protest.

DSTV had nothing to do with HiTV's failure. Neither did they have anything to do with TSTV failing.

Regarding HiTV...they built their brand around broadcasting Premier league and Champions League. Apart from that, their offerings were very weak.

TSTV came with promises they could not keep (eg internet with your decoder), then they went and pirated Bein tv's signals, meanwhile BeiN was saying they had signed no agreement.

Whatever failures HiTV and DSTV encountered, it was their own fault. HiTV was even backed by the government of the day

If there is something you all should learn from TSTV, it is KEEP IT UNDER YOUR HAT, that is, keep your big plans to yourself until you achieve it.

The useless company has an office space all this while? Never seen a company as useless and stupid all my life. Lying to a population of "ignorant illiterates" about RIGHTS they never and can never have; lying to 21st century educated illiterates about nonexistent decorders. The FG gave this useless company tax waivers yet the stup!d CEO wants to operate a legal entity via piracy and tapping signals from Bein TV?

Very useless set of people.

One lesson I learnt from the tstv era is never to underestimate the level and extent of illiteracy in Nigeria. It's more than what any institution has ever reported. I ensured I stayed 1000 miles away from tstv apostles back then. Too many youths in this country are adamantly ignorant. You need to see them on tstv Facebook page back then.

Again, TSTV failure had nothing to do with Asians or racisim.

TSTV failed because they had a bad business plan
