That's a thick smooth brick I think, it usually place on the outside while inside has the normal hollow building blocks.

Exactly, for outer wall. A thicker brick with a special hook adapter that holds the bricks to the hollow internal blocks and cement in-between to hold both blocks and bricks together.
This is not like the thinner tiles I saw posted by Brunofad sometimes ago. Thanks.
See pics below.

Yeah, I meant bricks earlier not tiles. Most buildings here have this trend of bricks as you described. Am still searching for anyone done with just cladding tiles around my area.

They mostly use stone tiles in Naija instead of the bricks.

Advantages - form of insulation for winter and easy to maintain, no painting, when dirty just blasted-wash it down.
Disadvantages - Warm in summer but who cares, there is air-condition to cool down the house... 24/7/365(6) electricity supply anyway... smiley Sorry for Naija o. We go get there one day; probably.

They don't use cladding tile in Europe ( as I assume from the house model and environment), wall in Europe consist of inner(block) and outer (bricks)part, the thickness depends on the environment and weather conditions (Germans, Scandinavian and Eastern Europe have thicker walls than houses in western Europe), some walls are insulated. Tiles are mostly used indoors and veranda.

Same here in most part of USA, especially the apartment buildings, they use bricks. Add more strength to the building. See my other advantages and disadvantages in my earlier post.
Thanks.

This electric water heater has been in use in Europe about 2013, it's portable, flat and very efficient, I wonder if it's already available in Nigeria?

The games village in surulere has brick walls too and it has been like that forever.
From aesthetics point of view, it gives few colour choice and monotonous appearance where much. It may need to be colour matched with a similar paint colour in a situation it gets terribly stained.
With dark and dirt friendly colour like the picture sample shown above, it is maintenance free with added weatherproofing effect on the building.

This is what we are talking about!
Rotech is NOT talking about "Fixex Charges" here but he is ready to negotiate a reasonable fee with the Nairalander.
by the time he does two three houses in one month, that Carpenter that is charging #480K "fixed charge" will still be there sucking air into his mouth. grin grin
@Muyi002, over to you. Please negotiate with Rotech77 and the good thing is that as a member here, we are also interested in ensuring that he does a good job for you though generally, he has always delivered good jobs.

@Rotech77, make us proud and make we see pictures after o. undecided

Thanks chief , I will post the pics if I get the job.

Good evening expert in the house. I am looking at erecting a galvanized scaffolding tomorrow. The scaffold will carry a tank capacity of 2,000 litres.

I need advice on the depth to dig and the ratio of cement to granite and sand. I will appreciate a detailed explanation.

The tank has a total length of 15ft.

Thank you in advance

The water heater is available here in Nigeria for some yrs back ..YES
It’s called INSTANT WATER HEATER, I supplied some members and also installed some for members here too.
The issue with the heater here mostly is non availability of light bcs ones their is NO light it’s means NO hot water.
The heater doesn’t retain water (tankless)

Public electricity system will definitely be a problem, in Nigeria case the rooftop solar water heater is the best solution but then one have to make provision for mounting stands on the roof, it's a very common sight on Turkish rooftops, some dealers are into it in Lagos I read.

In fact, that guy is a complete num skull. I picked the fool here for a similar rail work but he messed up big time. I have never seen a fool like him. Very rough cutting, unprofessional installation (not firmly rooted) appealing joining and best worst finishing.

In fact,I don't recommend him at all. He has to effect the correction.

This is not tall compared to duplex. Digging 3-4ft underground is good enough. Regular concrete with granite or good gravel will be good enough.
