People make their choice based on money factor, maintenance factor and availability factor. The inferior products you are complaining about is some people's joy buy. If you don't like your phone, discard it and let others that love theirs use them in peace.
If Xiaomi think theirs is better than tecno, let them go to the field and market it. Let them prove to the people that their products are better, cheaper and easier to maintain than tecno. But you guys will keep ranting that Xiaomi doesn't do marketing.

If you love xiaomi, recommend it to family and friends. Let others use their own products of choice in peace.

If you put your finger around the camera side for couple of minutes, you would feel some sensation. If you put on the torch, the heat it generates could born your hand over time. I bought it last year (Tecno Spark).

The question is, if the safety of your people is paramount to you, why allowing substandard goods into your country. You can see how Europe treats substandard goods. It's not about being the joy of people.

First, Nigeria is not the only country that has tecno users. Does it mean those other countries hate their citizens?
Secondly, Nigeria does not have any certification test for mobile phones. So no phone in Nigeria, be it Samsung, iPhone, Nokia Tecno or Xiaomi, has undergone any form of certification. Does that make them substandard too?

The bottom line is that this post was not intended to put SON to work, else, it would have mentioned a lot of certified substandard products, mostly electronics and plumbing material, which have become our daily companion. It is a marketing strategy by Xiaomi against Tecno and Transion products which they consider a big challenge. It never mentioned any other Chinese brand that are not used in China.

If anyone wants to fight the influx of substandard products, the person should not do it in part. It might be difficult to take stock of all products in the country. But if you choose phones, be ready to take stock of all phones for certification test. That is if you have The equipment.

So painful seeing Africa continent being exploited by foreigners....Africa has made china/ Chinese and other counterpart so much wealth and still yet Africa is still not respected......
