If you're wondering why the trio of Oshiomhole, Tinubu and Buhari are the most hated politicians East of the Niger, this is just one of the reasons. From sacking their 'son' GEJ from office, to fücking all their favourite politicians - Atiku, Dino and Saraki hardcore, rubbishing the aspirations of whichever politician they show any glimpse of sympathy for - Ambode, Adeleke, Fayose.....now Obaseki don join the list, haba! This is too much. Even if na me I will hate these irrepressible trio grin

They only disqualified him from contesting for their Party's ticket and not for the Governoship seat. PDP's door is wide open for him.

I keep hearing that Edo people like Obaseki and hate Oshiomole.

But the bad news is APC has power at both state and Federal levels.

Even if Obaseki decides to defect, I fear they'll still rig it.

So I guess it's a lose-lose situation for Obeseki. Last time, I hoped for a miracle for him to scale the primaries. Wishing for another miracle would be pushing my luck so hard.

It's a sad end.

They are all clowns. So they never knew he didn't have a certificate during the first elections but now he's not on the same page with that short man, he suddenly isn't qualified. Madness comes in different forms and sizes.

Remember you learn by experience, APC have learnt with what happened in Bayelsa and they don't want a repeat of it. Remember PDP being successful in Bayelsa will be waiting to repeat it in Edo.

How can he have shady certificates when UI which he attended stated that he was their student and is an alumni of the University?

An ordinary member that Obaseki went with some of his colleagues to plead? An ordinary member who the party once chose to head a reconcilation committee? I don't feed from his table but you went too far saying Tinubu is an ordinary member. He is a party leader just like Buhari who does not have any post in the party aside being a leader.

Indeed! Edo is not Lagos.

In Lagos, the sitting Governor was allowed to contest the direct primary involving all registered party members, which he lost democratically.

In Edo, the sitting Governor was disqualified by the same party that qualified him 4yrs ago, such that he would not even be contesting the APC direct primaries.

Ambode will be laughing where he is, upon realizing his own situation was even better, and truly Ambode will agree that Edo is not Lagos.
Ambode's case is worse. He was rigged in broad daylight by his party in a charade called an open ballot system of voting. He was embarrassed, dragged and shamed out of office.

Oshiomole knows he doesn't wade such influence in Edo yet, as with Tinubu in Lagos, so he decided to cut him quick.

This life i can remember when osho... was hustling and fighting to be the state governor... he got the support of Edo people...

Now power corrupts he is not that man that fights for the people... that we use to know then.

My advise ....when dealing with good people turn Ugly
Fight from outside...Now i respect.....Benue and Sokoto state Governors fight to finish... even with all they had the support of their people..

Obaseki... it may not be too late...!! You perish you perish..!!

I disagree.

Oshiomole is a dogged fighter, but he lacks the gravitas of a Tinubu/Ibori and the charisma of a Tony Anenih, i.e., he talks too much. What is the common denominator among Tinubu, Anenih and Ibori?

If Oshiomole was talking about his moves as much as he was last year, it would have been easy to neutralize them. But he listened to his advisers who asked him to zip it; while Obaseki, Crusoe Osagie, Charles Idahosa and Anslem Ojezua were foolishly broadcasting their moves, making them easy to neutralize.

That said, if Obaseki was a popular governor, Oshiomole wouldn't have been able to remove him. However, Ize Iyamu has the gravitas of a Tinubu but not the charisma of an Anenih. Get the buy in of state party leaders, perform as governor and retire Oshiomole. Oshiomole is not a guy you openly fight because that is his turf.

Oshiomole cannot last as godfather because he made an error of judgement in choosing his successor. Godfathers don't make that mistake.

Joke apart, who know Obaseki in Edo? Jagaban introduced Obaseki to Oshobaba. Obaseki used to work with Jagaban as a TAX collector in Lagos before he join politics. He bit the fingers that once fed him. He is also a betrayal by refusing to inaugurate the 15 members of the state House of Assembly just because they are loyal to Oshobaba. And finally IPOB support destroyed his political career. Next time, beware of the kind of people that support you.

PDP elders are even scare of him now.
