There are some vehicles you should not advertise for sale.

This vehicle is definitely riddled with rust.
GAZZUZZ the thing is you need to sit stand and have a rethink he has sold more cars than you within couple of the year, why you are still struggling to sell yours... I could remembed he told you indirectly is either you" innovate or die" but u choose the opposite.... You can't take him out of business rather he took u... Give uself brain...
A combination of this and high mileage is a badcombination.

Y'all shout full disclosure, full disclosure.

Someone comes and gives you an informed opinion on the cars, y'all start crying foul. The cognitive dissonance is palpable.

Keep it up, Googlemechanic.

No one is entirely good.
He is probably morally better than you are.
That you constantly attack him shows your own flaws as well as a human.
Do you understand the above at all?

Dont act sanctimonious.

You have done your part, move on.
Because at the end of the day, your probably just did some evil yesterday too so what makes you a better person.

It still baffles me how people will be so enthralled with the idea of bringing another person down, and ignore their own growth.

can you see you are bias now Let's assume he's giving full disclosure as you said what happens to other cars without rust or The ones with available part in Nigeria? Why can't he praise those ones and disclose that it is a good buy?

I don't understand. Is he supposed to come and praise the good deeds of the good cars?

Did Cosplay ever go about congratulating non-acciddented car sellers for their good deeds? If he only comes out when he thinks a car is bad, then thank him for the free knowledge and info bestowed.

I can't believe this is an argument. Would you rather someone bought that Hybrid Optima and later regretted? This makes as much sense as those who support fraud with the excuse of politicians being more corrupt. So? Does the existence of a greater evil make the lesser evil any less evil?

As far as he sticks to providing facts, there's nothing wrong with what he's doing. The moment he turns it into personal attacks is when he stops being right.

Neither, due diligence should be done by buyer and there are DIYers/mechanics who could take on the rigours of fixing a hybrid. And there are other hybrid cars been advertised on NL that are older than this, but e hasn't said anything about them. Y?

Seems to me like some people here have an issue with the truth.

Mind you, I have no stake in this fight. I personally think Amdman's services are essential and should be appreciated.

But if someone says the truth and the first thing that comes to you is "Why he dey chook mouth, make he mind him business", then maybe you need to look inwards and evaluate the kind of person you really are.

If that car really is a Hybrid and the OP failed to mention it, I think that's a pretty significant detail to forget.

Oga, if you think what he did is bad, why not buy the hybrid car and give us your testimony.

Yes, this may spoil the mind of a prospective buyer from buying the car thereby reducing and.man's sales but it will surely save a lot of people from using there hard earned money to buy problem.

You guys should stop all these irrelevant one-sided sentiment. Any car with bad review here, if you like the op that much please buy them and see. Tankiu!

Nope! My problem here is that he singled out this hybrid out of all the other hybrids been advertised on this forum to show his intelligence about hybrid cars. Enough said, someone who wants it, will buy it.

Please what's happening here,
I had to take time to read few pages back
Googlemechanic, I sent a post to you in a separate thread.
Sir, if you want to give ur experise opinion on cars advertised for sale, here I think it would have been all good to have mentioned it and state the reason so buyer can make informed decision and then also state where cars are good too.
That said, where the issue mentioned is minor, I think you should emphasize it being minor and where it's being major the same knowing that buyer would be willing to buy cars if fixes would be minor.
Still I imagine how you could see major issued on a vehicle by looking at the pictures, must be a highly skilled technique to do that, though I can see how you spotted that of the white Camry which was more of a general opinion but maybe it would be better to make a post that you would be giving ur experise opinion on a separate thread so buyer can come to you for that.
I am trying to draw a thin line between experise disclosure and pure de-marketing.
I hope things can be done a bit more circumspectly.
On the side,
I can see some quotes that are not on people mention.
Hope there is no war here

There is nothing wrong with Hybrid Optima as long as the customer wants it and it is not in his place to talk about it.

Upon, showing of interest by the buyer, I'm sure that will be mentioned between both parties.

Would he have sold a hybrid to someone without telling them?

You're overthinking it. You don't pay him to review cars on Nairaland.

If he picks out this single car to criticize, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. As long as he's stating facts or not lying. How is that hard to understand?

Thank him for providing some much-needed information and go your way. Person wey wan buy am go buy am, but at least with that information in mind.

I don't know, man. He advertised it without pointing out that it's a hybrid. Pretty hard to give him the benefit of the doubt with that in mind.

"Spoiling the mind" of potential buyers on a seller's thread is not a good thing; this is not sentiments.

No bro grin

They actually appreciate the truth. They just want to be seen as the good guys online, maybe have so much likes, and all that.

I remember when someone bought a particular model of Volvo here and Vala.rinz gave his opinion, stating that the car has transmission issues.

A lot came for his head, chanting the usual bad belle, BCD, and all that nonsense. After he provided proof online coupled with his personal experience, they all went mute. I don't think the Op has advertised that model here again.

Everybody learns, and is still learning. The OP too is learning. I don't see why anyone who criticizes the OP's collection is tagged a hater.

Btw, Googlemechanic, I'm not a fan of you saying Hybrid motors last for so and so years and implying the car may be faulty.

There's a fine line between providing information and trying to lead people into believing a particular thing. You don't know if that car had it's hybrid system recently replaced or rebuilt or whatever. It's not your place to make such insinuations.
