There are no noticeable changes on the phone after update. Like someone said, it may be preparing the phone for miui 12. I updated it with the 1.8gig too a few days ago.

I'll recommend you use a download manager to download tho except you have perfect network.

Hi guys, please I noticed I can't delete stuff from my mcard since 2 days ago, even when I try to format it, it won't work. It always says I need to give file manager permission, have checked settings and gave all permission necessary.

Go to file manager settings and check if storage permissions are granted. If yes, restart your device or force restart (hold the power button for 10-15 secs till it vibrates).

I had that issue on a RN7 a couple of weeks ago probably due to removing the SIM tray multiple times without ejecting the SD card first.

Grandmufti sent me the link and I used it to download the update and installed it without issues. So do not fear. It's official.

I sent it to you cos I saw from your screenshot that it's the exact update I did previously and it's definitely the same update package.

Just go to Settings>>>About Phone>>>>System update

Next click the miui11 logo several times and accept the prompt shown.

When you do that successfully, click on the menu button at the top right, you'll see CHOOSE UPDATE PACKAGE.

Then look for the file you downloaded and select it (ensure your data is on before you select the update packages)

You can check for any updates for the file manager in the Play Store, if there isn't any wait for the pros to come online.

Remove it and do error test on it using a PC. Scan and fix the error and you should be good, if not, format it and if that doesn't fix it, let me know.

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins
