even though.. What exactly is the government doing to restore order, or have they settled with certain activities being stopped due to the virus?

If una like make it 50,000 per day, people have lost interest in the live score. Anytime the lock down is getting ease, the Ncdc will come and high their figure to instigate fear on the citizen. We no dey fear again. One thing must kill a man

While are you people always doubt everything government even when your life is endangered. For your info doctors involved in covid19 care were exempted from the strike and the test are not necessarily carried in hospital e.g African center for excellence is not a hospital but a testing centre. Other health workers are not on strike. Consultants are not also on strike

LeiderJa:

Ncdc is handling the cases not resident doctors.

Moreover there are consultants and house officers. I think the reported cases are lower than actual figures because we use a slow method of testing and also because an average Nigerian will hide his symptoms.
Resident drs working in those centres are exempted... without resident drs u think say them no go suffer am?
Meanwhile the houseofficers are in same association with resident drs and are on strike too....some of u have little knowledge of what is going on

Where do they even get these people that they test, are people not dying from other illness or diseases again.

Only these people know where they are getting their number of cases and death.

FG was making plans to open schools and most places.
NCDC are against it and that's why they've increased the number of deaths so as to scare FG.

What I don't understand is how and who do Nddc test In other countries they carryout tests at checkpoints and sometimes go to the homes of people over there, but here in Nigeria we are just getting daily increase of the virus without anybody knowing how they test.

Resident doctors association are the ones that declared strike on Monday 15th. Not house officers or consultants. Google ARD.

If there's need for a doctor, there will be provision because resident doctors are not the only doctors in the land.

Again, the ministry of health is not really in charge of the cases. Rather it's the agency for disease control (NCDC). This is why you won't find isolation centres in hospitals. Rather in spaces or stadiums allocated by the government.

I've witnessed an ARD strike before and the only thing that changed was increased work effort from consultants and house officers. There are also general practitioners who are in the system.

The people that do tests in medicine are called medical lab scientists. They are obviously not on strike.

The lab scientists are the guys with the technical know-how to handle the lab equipments not the resident doctors.

Lastly if there's any strain on the healthcare quality by the strike action, it won't be noticeable right now because they just began on Monday

It seems you're the one with little knowledge of what's going on.
