Dongban-Mensem sworn in as substantive President, Court of Appeal

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad has administered the oaths of allegiance and office on Justice Monica Dongban- Mensem as the substantive President of the Court of Appeal.

This follows the confirmation of her appointment by the Senate after her 3 months acting appointment was only recently renewed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Presidency had explained that the delay in forwarding her name to the Senate for confirmation as required by the Constitution was because President Buhari was waiting for security report on the Plateau State born Justice Dongban-Mensem from the intelligence community.
