Obinwanne Okeke, the Nigerian businessman owner of Invictus Group who was arrested in the United States last year, has pleaded guilty to $11 million (N4.2 billion) fraud.

Mr Okeke, 32, admitted to American prosecutors that he was involved in computer-based fraud between 2015 and 2019.

Joshua Stueve, a spokesperson for the United States District Court for Eastern District of Virginia, told PREMIUM TIMES on Thursday evening that Mr Okeke could spend 20 years maximum penalty in an American jail.

He would be sentenced on October 22, Mr Stueve said.

Not interested in your product. Thanks buddy. I will pass
emmasoft:

@Godbpraised you can see clearly that my I responses are always to prospective investors who have questions and need clarifications. I am not pushing hard or doing anything outside what is is allowed in the corporate world. Everything is a matter of choice. I hope you know how large operators like Glo, MTN etc are currently and as we speak they still want to convince the public why consumers should patronize them.
In as much as there are investors interested in the product and make enquiries, I will talk about it. It's a matter of choice. Thanks anyway for your observation it shows you noticed and aware of the product already. I wish more people to be aware of the product.

The young man is marketing his company’s product(VGIF fund) and he has answered the questions put across to him intelligently. I think you should give him credit for that while the rest is on you to do your research as an investor. Except you are just here in the investment thread playing around.

VGIF - Vantage Gurranteed income fund is a mutual fund in the fixed income category.
It has its rate benchmark with SDF.
It's currently 8.5%
Though there is a circular already issued as per SDF review by CBN which will take effect on VGIF by 1st of July that will make the Gurranteed rate to be 7.5%. Apart from the guaranteed rate, investors also get additional 35% of excess gain of the fund, though this is not fixed or Gurranteed, it's however paid every year at least for the past 6 years. The interest is prorated and earned daily but will be paid twice a year July and January or reinvested same time if an investor opt for reinvestment. It has a minimum holding period of 6months. The initial minimum deposit is 50k after that you can top up with any amount at any interval.
You can open account now and fund it later when your Tbills matures. You don't need cash to open VGIF account.
Click the link on my signature to open account. You can as well call or chat with my contact number also on the signature.

With management scooping up 65% of the excess gain, could you please share the implied Expense Ratios for those six years? Thanks.

I also asked my question in curiosity without insult. If people are interested they will invest. [ quote author=DexterousOne post=90817929]

We asked questions

He answered us

What's the problem with that?.

The less experienced potential investors appreciate a point of contact for answers to key questions (like mine up there) and the young man, to his credit, has made himself available.

You did not insult but it was a brusque delivery. I guess people may have taken exception to you seemingly 'shutting off the conversation' which might not have been your intention but nuances in face to face communictions often get missed in typed conversations.

Like I said if people are convinced, people themselveswould blow the trumpet of VGIF funds. I do not mean to discredit what his doing. But his overemphasizes of what his doing. I think if its a good investment people would come and share thier experience. Experience gained is worth sharing. I rest my case.

Loool! I have been following VGIF for years! It is a good fund. I dare say it’s outperformed many other mutual funds on average.

FBN - Fixed Income fund
United Capital Bond fund
Stanbic GIF
Fbn money market fund
Stanbic money market fund
Investment one VGIF!

I have been monitoring all these funds for years now, because they have been exceptional apart from recently when the money market funds have blinked out, and the returns on VGIF have been exceptional. They are always ranging from 3rd to 1st among the low risk funds in terms of returns. If I sat down and did the maths, I think they might be number 1 on average.

Don’t take my word for it, do your research. grin

The first rental date will be December 16, 2020 while the last will be June 16, 2027. June 16,2020 is the commencement date; that is when it starts to count.

Just dont pill up money in fixed income at poor rate without strategy......even the 11.3 it will take 9 years for investment to double but what the real value by then .....example if with 40m i can buy 5 2 bedroom apartment in festact at 8m each .....with the growing populations what will be the selling price of each by 2030 .....may be 20 m ....so after 10 years my bonds will be around 80m ....how many apartments can 80m buy in same festac in 2030 80/18 =4....so i have lost 1 apartments worth (20m) ......that not my only lost i have also lost annual rents of 2.5m x10 years =25m .....grand lost will be 45m in value ....nb reinvesting coupons =rental increases .....empty apartments =failed bids...
