As a born Christian again, you are the representative of God because Christ lives in you. The Christ in your pastor is not different from the one in you unless you are not born again.

No blessing is greater than the parents’ blessings.

God was the father of Adam and blessed them himself, going by your analogy. He didn’t call on any angel to come as his representative to bless them

Actually that is wrong! No where in even the verse you attempted at quoting does God inform you that a third persons is needed.

God already blessed thr union of marriage from the beginning. No other blessing is needed or even works.

He's right. Business people (like makeup artist, photographer, event planner, decorator, etc) only made a merchandise of the whole thing to f00l intending couples and leave them broke or poorer.

We all will get sense post-Covid. People are still getting married despite the inactivity of these business people. With an extra fee of 25-30k, you can invite the registry/magistrate people to come and join you both in your home. Pay your dowry and zoom off!


"It's your day, make it memorable bla bla bla", they all say, but none of them will tell you that marriage is a journey. How do you start celebrating a journey you haven't even began so badly that you have to go broke or poorer in the process??

Gen 1:28 is talking about the creation of man and the purpose and blessings. So do use that as a yardstick for marriage.... And the waste of understand.

Agreed but we are saying in the case of Christianity there is no such command, it's more or less a man made instructions that have been made to look like Biblical instructions. There is nothing like a white wedding in the Scripture.

Here there was no elaborate ceremony, just Abraham's servant representing Isaac, his master's Son and Rebekah's family, even Isaac the groom or the husband to be didn't need to be there.

I beg to differ from your point of view. Marriage consent is the exclusive right of the two individuals involved. They decide whether or not to be married

Secondly, the joining of the couple is the exclusive right of the Parents.

Every other thing is secondary. The moment a man pays dowry on a woman. Heaven recognises them as husband and wife.

Priest/Pastors performs this role just to remain relevant.
