Ogun state is unique among the states in the federal republic of Nigeria. It has the second highest HDI (Human development Index) in Nigeria after Lagos and unlike its contemporaries across the country, it is replete with several large and mostly developed cities spread across the state apart from the capital city. These include urban centres such as Shagamu, Ota, ilaro, Ijebu ode, Agbara among others. The state has a large population and is host to many industries and business ventures. It is basically Nigeria's emerging Trade and Industry hub after Lagos. That apart, it has some of Nigeria's best secondary and tertiary educational institutions.

Seriously I wonder Igbos are crying profusely over this thread. I can feel their angst from here. You hardly see Yorubas in Anambra or Imo picture threads.
Oh well..... if wishes were horses, I know many Igbos that would wish the SW was their homeland while all Yorubas were deported to the SE. You and I both know.

LOL. I have been to Abeokuta, even little Nnewi in Anambra state is more beautiful than Abeokuta. And you don’t even want me to start with Onitsha, Awka, Owerri, Abakaliki, etc etc.

looool can Nnewi even be considered a city? On that list only Onitsha dey try. Owerri has nice joints too to an extent but Ogun state has more joints than both combines. Check Trivago or Hotels.ng if you doubt me.

Nnewi that is like a scattered hybrid between a forest and a brown roof town. Very jaga-jaga, haphazardly settled, red mud gullies everywhere and no plan like most Igbo habitats.

The saving grace of potor-potor fauna like yourself is that There aren't much Yorubas or any other tribe in those parts of SE to come and BUST the lies you people keep telling here everyday. If SE was such a paradise that you people paint, it should be the region drawing the most number of Nigerians from all over, not the other way around. People naturally follow money and opportunities.

I am not trying to compare states or anything o, as everyone has their own unique strengths, but Just imagine for a sec that Ogun state was the one producing as much oil as say Delta or Bayelsa for example.

Ogun state the Skull Mining Headquarter
I am Yoruba but judging from what am seeing here, SW have a lot of catching up to do with the East; in terms of City planning and development.

There is nothing here worth celebrating or even showcasing. Look at the haphazard building patterns smh.
SW needs to look inward more. The way all Yorubas are abandoning their state to decay while piling up investments in Lagos should be a thing of big worry to Yorubas. There is need to invest more in the different States of SW and not leaving them to decay and rot. Ibadan is a case study.
