Full ROM
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V11.0.9.0.PCOMIXM/miui_GINKGOGlobal_V11.0.9.0.PCOMIXM_59d042a821_9.0.zip

Use a download manager like IDMP to download. After downloading

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

Thanks for help

My current device, is a Tecno spark 3. The device is a shitty piece of crap which I am so eager to get rid of. I just want to emancipate myself from the bondage of transsion which I have been in for so long. I got swept away by Xiaomi when I saw my friend's Xiaomi note 7 pro. The device was very impressive. And then when he told me the price, I marvelled. Transsion would charge an arm and a leg for a similarly speced device. I became dissapointed with transsion and made up my mind to stop buying Transsion devices.

Hey guys,

I ordered a xiaomi redmi note 8 from aliexpress 2 weeks ago. Now I realise I have made a mistake.
The phone on the store was stated to be a "global rom". I mistook that to mean "global version". I did not bother to check the supported 4G/LTE bands. I dug a bit through this thread for some info before placing that order. Only this morning, while digging further on this thread I found out that there is a difference between global rom and global version. I went back to the item I orderd and checked. The phone is actually a chinese version with a global rom installed. It does not support MTN and Glo 4G/LTE bands (b7, b20 & 28). And digging further, I realise I may be slapped with a hefty customs charge during pickup. I really feel so disappointed right now. Kindly advise please.

If you are in areas with Glo Band 3 you are covered, MTN band 3 is very limited. But Airtel and Etisalat is fully covered.

The harm have been done and no point crying over spit milk. You can buy a universal MIFI which can cover for the missing bands.

As for customs duty it is 50/50 so hope for the best.

Good afternoon guys. I downloaded the gcam for redmi note 8 pro on my sis phone from the xiaomi compilation thread but it seem not to work. When you open the gcam the screen is blank as if the camera lens was covered and when you switch to video it force close. I can access the settings on the gcam but taking photos with it is not working. The screen is blank with the shutter icon not displaying.
Is there something I'm not doing right?

Good day all,
I am eager to join the Xiaomi family but I am lost on which to go for between Redmi Note 7 pro, Note 8 and Note 9s.

Budget is less than 85k.

Not a phone gamer per say
Prefer speed and phone with no touch screen issues
Multitasking and less issues.
Thanks

No transsion device from their so called flagship to their midrange is in the same category with Redmi Note 7 not to talk of the Pro.

You are welcome to join the train bro

You can not reject a package that has landed in your PO. Your dispute will be thrown out. Use the device like that and as advised by genius, get a universal mifi to compensate.

You didn't apply a config file.
