Protesters under the platform of Concerned All Progressives Congress Members have demonstrated at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, calling for the dissolution of the present National Working Committee of the party.

The protesters gave President Muhammadu Buhari and National Executive Committee of the party 72 hours to convey an emergency meeting and dissolve the present NWC.

Leader of the group, Opokwu Ogenyi, said the present NWC had caused more harm and bastardised the party and that there was the need to salvage the party from total collapse.

Opokwu said, "This present National Working Committee has caused us to lose seven states to the opposition. APC had twenty four states governors before the present NWC, today we have 18 governors. Just yesterday, the deputy governor of Ondo State left us and joined opposition Peoples Democratic Party."

Opokwu berated the leadership crisis that has engulfed the ruling party leading to four individuals laying claim to the Acting National Chairman position.

The group maintained that any attempt to keep the NWC further would destroy and disintegrate the party.

The protesters vowed to extend the protest to other states if the highest decision making body refused to convey the meeting.

Who sponsored these ones? Because in naija it's so hard to see individuals wake up and protest without being induced with money. Just watch out, if these protesters are not dispersed by the police then it's an indication that their sponsors are very top men in power who are fighting to take hold of the APC towards 2023. Buhari may just be the first and last president produced under this party, cos as things are going if some powerful figures and stakeholders loose grip of the national structure of the party and feel their interest ahead of 2023 may be threatened, they will scatter the party, re-align and birth a new one ahead of 2023

These ones were hired by Amaechi and his lackey - Giadom. The NWC is going nowhere. They will remain in office till the end of their tenure.

Watch as Obaseki is being accused of sponsoring them.

It is so clear now that there are strong internal elements within the party seeing the NWC as the stumbling block to their 2023 ambition, which they need swaying off to realize their dream. They have just seized the loopholes between Oshiomhole and Obaseki to strike.

It is often said that “what unifies the rebellious minds is the same thing that scatters them”

APC should just adopt a new name from All Progressive Party (APC) to Everyday Crisis Party (ECP).

Nothing progressive about a party that is always in crisis.

I refused to be shocked !

Wasted efforts of lazy and hired protesters. They should ensure that Amaechi paid them their money back the end of the failed protest, if not, story will enter.
