crazygod: God bless you bro. Look at the comments on this thread...you see most people talking about how db the soldier is and hurling insults on him...this is the average Nigerian youth...all for show and not for true patriotism. You'll see that the protest that was generated by the rape case of Timi's wife won't be generated with this soldier's detention. The hypocrisy reeks. This guy is brave and needs the support of all influential activists. If a soldier will come out and say this, then.it means that there truly is fire on the mountain 18 Likes |

Slawormir:Shut your trap! Don't be blind. There is something call rule of engagement in professional military circles. Dont support rubbish, because you are rooting for your masters. People are dying by the hundreds from the hands of a group that can be wiped out in a matter of weeks. I feel so ashamed when i see comments like yours. I wont say much here but if you are sincere and want to learn, i will educate you about what's going on.. This will be my first and last response on this matter. Take care 19 Likes 1 Share |

Jakemedg: Leave him, back when Ambode was governor some people led a protest march to his office and he acted like nothing happened. The useless people calling themselves politicians know what's going on but because it's not affecting their pocket they won't be bothered. Governor Zulum is one of the few people who actually does his job. 4 Likes 1 Share |

This is mutiny and insubordination of the highest other. I know Buhari and the army chiefs doing anything about the killings going on in the country, but the president is the commander in chief and this solder should know that his first duty is to respect his superiors. Even the US that have freedom of speech, you hardly see a solder criticising his superiors. The guy will defiantly be court marshaled for this gross misconduct and indiscipline. 2 Likes |

Princedapace: And the last time that happened in this country, we had one year of pogroms and 3 years of civil wars. Polticans loot because you people let them. Anytime I say that we should look into the corruption under PDP or the corruption under APC, people like you will start screaming that I am biased. Democracy is hard work. Using coup for easy way out leads to pain and suffering. 2 Likes |

NettyNelly: Yes, he should. The military is not civil society and is not run as a democracy. He will be court-martialed and likely dismissed. No military will tolerate this. An American Naval Captain of an aircraft carrier (for that matter) faces similar action over a leaked memo complaining about the US Navy's handling of the Covid 19 outbreak aboard his ship. This soldier is a danger to his colleagues, superiors and the Army. No one will entrust him ever again with a weapon or deploy him on anny operation where he can compromise the mission and the lives of his colleagues. The military has well laid down channels of complaints and superior officers and supervising rank and file do entertain views during briefings. If he is not satisfied with the way the Army is run he is free to resign. Having said that, those who can, should and are constitutionally protected to speak out, the citizens share responsibility for the degeneration in the security situation by not objectively opposing the structure, administration and operations of our security architecture. The citizens of Nigeria have collectively failed these young men and women who constantly put themselves in harm's way so we can carry on our lives in peace by the familiar divisions of tribe, religion and background instead of a unity of purpose along the objectives of good governance. We all owe them an apology. This man has sacrificed his career and freedom having risked his life for country in the first place. A real pity. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
