I got to read this outrageous little piece from one joelsblog,a guy was harassed by guys in port Harcourt after he hugged and kissed an old friend on the cheek ,although he revealed he never had any hard feelings attached!

According to the guy,chibuike he said,immediately his friend left,some group of men hooked him and said, "So you dey do homo with that guy abi,come make we go dat corner!"

The guy said he was embarrassed and he new they were trying to attack him,he shunned them off,and he said while they walked off,they all jeered off,"Homo!! U be homo you no wan tell us!! You no want make we f$ck you bah!"

Now the big question is the title of this post,what is your answer??

Gbam! I wish I could like this a billion times. Toxic masculinity is really making men look like beast and we are the ones doing it to ourselves because you ladies don't care. Masculinity is so fragile that any little thing, it flakes and men who's insecure in their masculinity starts questioning everything. It's like there's a set of rules, tenet for a man to follow, African Black men especially has been enslaved to toxic masculinity, every little emotion, a man's sexuality will be questioned. Since the advent of the gay reign, that's when all this questioning, how a man should act or how he should not act began, without that, every man will be their authentic selves. We black men have forgotten the first rule to being a man hence while mental illness affects us the most, when the mental afflictions come, we tend to brush it off afterall, black men shouldn't feel, shouldn't cry, should be beasts and strong and a protector, that's how situations overwhelms us and we become monsters, rapists, reavers and theives to society. Exactly. The stereotype is just crappy. Men are meant to be hard and not show weakness when in reality we are human and full of emotions. There was a time I did this exact same thing with my friend cuz I had missed him much and was glad to see him. We were give the usual stereotyped labels of gay and all that. Even my fwb called us gay, but it is ok for women to do same. Screw societal stereotypes and norms.

The most widely accepted and least controversial one is a handshake which can be customised as wished and spiced up with a shoulder bump. Abeg if you do pass that one it's gay. You girls can kiss each other and whatever, we don't care, just don't expect us bros to start doing it cos you're doing it. If you as a guy are going to hug your guy, a light tap on the back with one hand is enough, but the other hand has to be shaking the other guy's hand. If the hug is to last more than 2 seconds, it is to be followed by violently beating the other guys back followed by loudly screaming "mah nigga" in order to make it clear that nothing homosexual is going on, and most importantly, keep the junks as far apart as possible.

Wow, your masculinity is really fragile. That's your way of showing affection to your friends and it's ok for you, just don't shame other guys and make it like a rule for black men to follow. My friends know better than to call me the N word because I hate it, each squad with their relations and if you think screaming "Mah nigga" means your friend ain't gay then you really don't know how sexuality works.
