One thing with mtk is developers support and custom roms
Redmi note 4x is still receiving android 10, because of developers support. Unless you will be buying new phone every year.

I don't think that will happen. Samsung needs to sell their in-house SoC. Xiaomi will lose money developing two different boards for one device. It doesn't make sense since they're not benefitting from it. If the SD option is cheaper and will perform, they'll use it. If it's MTK they'll use it as well. I just hope MTK releases their source code soon otherwise development for future devices will be almost impossible.
I have used Exxynos powered phones and the experience was fluid. Hitherto before exposure to the different types of SOCs. One couldn't tell the difference between SD, Exxynos and MTK. My point is Exxynos isnt bad as its portrayed to be. It only isnt as powerful as its SD counterpart.

Apologies. I might have confused you with someone else that's why I said "No vex".
None taken, before I found this thread I didn't even knew what soc was, I use to think my infinix camera was the best thing since slice bread. Bros this thread opened my eyes so allow me to keep learning.
Cheers wink

You don't have to buy a new phone every year. Since the OEM will support the device for 2 years at least. I think this every year smartphone ideology is coming from either the Trass... days or from hype. If you get a decent device that satisfy your needs, you can use it for at least 2 years before replacing it. But that's just my opinion though.

That's actually the problem. Why sell the Exynos variant which is weaker than the SD counterpart at the same price? If the Exynos variants were at least cheaper in the regions they were sold it wouldn't have bothered a lot of people.

True but can we say that profit is always the aim of any organisation. Exxynos is not bad at all. Just that its slightly isnt as powerful as its counterparts.

Nevertheless Samsung has progressed greatly in the market. Africans love brand before specs. Apart from this thread that enlightened me while i was a guest to some things. Believe you me that the vast majority of those with purchasing power still have faith in Transsion and hype .

Where do one download and install?

Fone or PC or both?

Install on your PC, then enable USB debugging on the phone, after which you connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable.

Screen mirroring is as easy AF. Even my asus laptop has screen mirroring embedded in it. I was quite dumbfounded when a big HP didn't have it. Just click on screen mirror search and connect voila

Swipe from up to down, click on data usage, then data usage statistics, it gives you a brief of app that went online on your phone for that data, and the data volume consumed.
WhatsApp status and Instagram are usually the biggest culprits for data usage for most people
Bro tiktok has taking the lead in data consumption ooh, that app dey drink data like running tap water....
