Wonders shall never end. I Learnt a new phrase this morning "PENIS ENVY".. Don't look me with one yeye eye oo.

Penis envy is a stage theorized by Sigmund Freud regarding female psychosexual development, in which young girls experience anxiety upon realization that they do not have a penis.

She desires a penis, and the power that it represents. This is described as penis envy.

She sees the solution as obtaining her father's penis.

She develops a sexual desire for her father.

The girl blames her mother for her apparent castration (what she sees as punishment by the mother for being attracted to the father) assisting a shift in the focus of her sexual impulses from her mother to her father.

Sexual desire for her father leads to the desire to replace and eliminate her mother.

The girl identifies with her mother so that she might learn to mimic her, and thus replace her.

The child anticipates that both
aforementioned desires will incur punishment (by the principle of lex talionis ).

The girl employs the defence mechanism of displacement to shift the object of her sexual desires from her father to men in general.

Is this the same thing known as "Electra complex"?..... where a little girl get sexually attracted to her father and bitter toward her mother?

If that's the case then there could be something else, "Vagina envy" as similar phenomenon occurs to some boys if conditions are given. With boys it's called Oedipus complex.

Oedipus complex was first brought up by the psychologist Sigmund F. who was also a victim. He had sexual feelings for his mother.

It's very confusing and hard to perceive on how someone can be sexually attracted to his or her own biological parent and sometimes to their full siblings, right?
This is because human psychology was constructed with disgusting emotions toward sexuality when it comes to blood related persons.
These kinds of unpleasant emotions had to evolve in order to prevent family intra-breeding so as to avoid spreading of lethal genes.

Human mind recognizes someone as blood related relative if that relative was present during the development of that mind all the way from childhood to sexual maturity.
If someone was separated away from his/her relative of different gender from infancy to puberty, that person won't have disgusting sexual emotions toward his/her relative when they will be reunited.

Sigmund was separated away from his mother when he was still young. By the time they were reunited, he saw his mother as other women capable of falling in love with.The same happened to Oedipus(Ancient Greece man with interesting story concerning the subject).

The penis envy theory by Sigmund Freud is actually very very wrong, Esther Vilar proved it. Matter of fact, it is assumed that Sigmund was a manipulated man, just like other males
