They are dubious fellows. They deceive and collect your money and you can't do anything about it. If you call the Police you will loose because they would ask you for your Emirates ID and what right do you have to apply for job with Tourist's Visa?

That’s absolutely the truth imagine all of that, it’s not really good , that’s the reason you have to be watchful and wise when searching for jobs there in the Emirates. It would be so unfair if anyone fall victim of that again.

What? You have a right to apply for jobs with a tourist visa, or even without any visa. You can apply for jobs even from Nigeria. But you are not supposed to WORK with a tourist visa. Though that's doesn't work, many people work for months or years even on tourist visa.

Get it right. You are permitted to apply to work only when the company agrees to convert your tourist visa to employment. It is not a right but privileged.

The case painted here is when you are scammed by an employment agency/agent. Should the agency/agent dupe you, forget about involving the police because as at this time you don't have legal ground to work, so you loose. This is why so many Nigerian agents dupe people easily since they know you will loose when Police is involved.

What you said is only applicable when a company agrees to employ you and convert your tourist visa to employment.

Bros, how can you and why should you or anyone apply for work AFTER company has agreed to give you an employment visa? It makes no sense either in UAE or Nigeria or any part of the world. That's dribbling to the back like we yorubas will say. Here is what I know and which is normal.

"Foreigners planning to work in the UAE must know that they cannot work on visit visas or tourist visas. They need legitimate work/residency visa/permit to be able to live and work legally in the UAE. The employer needs to procure the work and residency permits. Working without first obtaining the proper visa status is illegal and can lead to imprisonment, fines and/or deportation. The penalties apply to both: the employer and the employees."

If you still have another opinion, no problem. I cannot come and kill myself.

And the way Nigerians cower at the mention of police is nauseating. Well, it's mainly the fault of many criminal minded Nigerians that makes many people treat all Nigerians like that. But really, police here is your friend. They can't do anything to you and won't do anything to you except you behave like a criminal or live with criminals or live like a criminal. In fact, they're more likely to help you than your fellow bro.

Nice one. Them use psychology as dem see say you wan avoid them. As long as you have valid visa, whether visit or employment, you can even cross road with Sheikh.

If you stay in areas where there are many blacks, Nigerians and Pakistanis, always have your passport and visa copy on you or in your phone. And be confident and friendly.

I think you're missing the point and mindset. Developed places like Dubai or parts of Europe don't need tourists money to SURVIVE, they don't DEPEND on it. Rather they harness it. We have Nigerians with the mindset that the UAE will crumble or enter recession if they don't give Nigerians visa. That's what I'm correcting. Nigerians are not even among the top 5 tourists in the UAE. And the majority of Nigerians are more or less job seekers trying to escape from Nigeria.

Countries like UAE build things(E.g roads, structures, parks, malls) to increase their gain and make people come to spend money in their country. They're not begging or surviving on it, they're using it. For instance, they develop RTA(transport using trains, taxi and co) to the extent that everybody wants to and have to use it. They'll tell you achievement like 594million people used RTA in 2019, which is 5million people more than 2018. And they'll project and work towards more users in 2020. Imagine how many trillions of dirhams coming in for government from that alone. If they are not organised, it's private sector that will make the money and transport will be more costly. That's correct business. They create and take advantage of the situation. They're not just sharing oil money to the Emirates on monthly basis and doing election. They're not waiting for tourists to do Covid test at airport before paying salary.

The UAE is one of the hottest tourists hubs in the world. Without tourism the UAE will run into recession.
You maybe right 'Nigeria' do not constitute a greater proportion of the tourist ratings but the UAE needs tourists.
The UAE is tourism, tourism is the UAE.

Every other sector makes little or nothing to the development of the country, hence the reason they keep creating new world sights and firsts because they want people to come see.

Hi
What type of account are you trying to open? If its related to your job, your company hr might be able to help. When I got my job, all I did was get a letter from HR and took to the bank, that was it. Some of these banks have partnership with companies to make opening account smooth and stress free

Your company’s PRO, if he’s Arabic, can go with you. Few banks would still decline though, his presence will make things a lot easier for you.
Try Emirate NBD, DIB and ADCB.
Savings acc is okay for salary.

Dubai Islamic(DIB) savings account (al islami banking or something like that).
Go with the following:
*salary certificate
*your international passport hard copy, with your resident visa stamp on it.
*your Emirates ID
*and 500aed, opening deposit.

It doesn’t take up to 15mins, after which they will issue you a salary transfer certificate to take to your company for salary payment.

Note: you’ll charge you 26.5aed monthly if you don’t maintain the minimum balance of 3000aed, and 5dhs monthly for sms chargers (that’s if you subscribe, but it’s advisable you do..)
