Robin Cook .... this guy makes you see medical science in 3D. You wonder if he being a physician is codely exposing dark secrets of the profession.

My first Cook was Godplayer. I was 14yrs old and never wanted to enter a hospital afterwards again. That guy is a beast on paper.
Same with Dean Koontz - I have almost all his books in paperback.

GOD - The Author of the Bible. I never tire of reading it; it is new every day.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn - the author of the Gulag Archipelago, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovic, e.t.c.

And many other innumerable great authors. In fact I am a book addict mostly on Autobiography, Religion, Literature, History, Philosophy and Scientific.

Wow! we share much of the same tastes. For me, Dan Brown's Inferno had to be the most gloriously amazing book of the 21st century. It's sublime to the highest.
Kane and Abel was endlessly amazing and awesome and Jackie Collins' Hollywood Wives is A-class.
As for Robert Ludlum, dude is in a class of his own. He's one of my top 5 writers of all time, along with Tom Clancy, Mario Puzo, T.H. White and Harold Robbins.

Ludlum is the best there ever was and the best there will ever be. Dude was simply in a class of his own, with none even coming close.

The Matarese Circle was the first Ludlum book I read. My dad gave the book to me and it gave me nightmares for days afterwards.

Now, I have a lot of his e-books but hope to buy physical copies soon. I worship and adore the guy.

To me, books are the highest, most sublime, most perfect and all-encompassing form of art. They are life. They create realness out of thin air. They are magical.

William Shakespeare and Professor Wole Soyinka are my best playwrights, Edgar Allan Poe is my best poet. I don't read novels much so I don't have a best novelist but The picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde and the Alchemist Coelho Paulo are my best novels. My worst Novels ever are The old man and the sea by Earnest Hemingway and No longer at ease by Chinua Achebe. These books traumatized me from reading novels again, I hate them Sooooo much.
