This happened to my son. This is an allerge, check the formula (baby milk). It's possible the baby is allerge to cow protein. Anyway, see a doctor.

Now this one is not on his neck (though it is in both his elbow joints, scarcely on his Tommy and this morning I say it at the back of his knee), his skin molts around the rashes. I just can't completely describe it that's why I included the pics.

Most likely allergies. Formula, milk, butter or any greasy food, also the soap, baby powder, contaminated water. Observe what triggers the rush. After what kind of food or after bathing, etc. Do not apply any shea butter, cream or anything, boil the water for bathing, boil baby's clothes and iron both sides. Observe and see if it is some food, stop giving the allergy food, or if it's the cream, baby powder (external cause) stop using it.

It's very important to detect NOW the allergy cause, at this early age you eliminate any allergies. But if you continue applying this and that, baby's allergies may get worse and stay with him for life. Similar case happened, grand ma was giving greasy food to show how well the baby was growing up staying with her, poor baby was put on a diet for about 6 months, skinny milk based.
May God bless your child and I wish his health. Visit the doctor.
Use fabric pampers and boil, iron them, first year is very important.

thanks brother.

Sudocreme is for babies. Just that will suffice. Don't go and buy all those nonsense they are concocting for you. Your baby is still very tender.

Also use salon in the bathing water instead of drttol which is harsh.

No fear, it happened to my baby too. Yoruba people call it 'Alefo' Said to be common amongst babies that are gonna get really big. Your baby's dey learn from my baby's own.

I was really scared when I saw it on her body. So I called the doctor he said I shd get ampiclox for babies and Calamine lotion, we also rub her with Ori after bathing her.

These worked a bit then someone suggested getting red leaves. Get as many as possible, then boil them like normal 'agbo', use the water to bath the baby daily.

All these combined together worked asap. If u see her skin now hen, really fresh. No fear, just use all these things.

Goodluck.

Antiseptic on a newborn, don't complicate issues

There are antiseptic soaps for new babies. I saw Tetmosol for babies few days ago but it is expensive.

What kind of generation is this. Your baby is sick and it is on the internet you are sending her pictures for care. Is this how you were nursed as a child? Do you know a place called hospital? That is where sick babies are taken to for care. Not on social media platform.

Sorry for that. I think yours maybe same experience I had too. My first girl was less than 3 months when hers came up. D doctor confirmed hers to Atopic dermatitis or atopic eczema (u can check it up in wikipedia). Its just a long story, but d cure we hv had is that d only soap n cream she can use is Aveeno eczema care body wash n its moisturizing cream. Then d worst is that we only see it on Amazon.ca. She is getting to 5 and has still not over grown it when we use another soap on her. U can see the pic of d body wash

Take this baby to a good hospital immediately. The health of a newborn is not a social media matter.

Sorry what you're going through. Someone here made a similar complaints about her baby and got helpful tips from people here that she applied. She made a topic showing proof of how it works. Mabe someone can share you the link. Yet, still visit a good hospital. Best of luck, and I wish your baby speedy recovery.

My sincere feedback. Urgently take that child to hospital. In Yoruba, we called it Ita.

It kills baby if smart action is not taken by parent. I am talking from experience. When it happened to my baby, we never take it serious, until it continues to spread.

After hospital, try and get original palmwine, rub it on the baby's body outside, after some minute, take the baby inside and bath off the palmwine with any soap you prefer. Then give the baby small of the palmwine as well.

It is a serious matter please. This stuff was reportedly to have killed 7 babies in Kano this year. Please do not joke with it.

Regards

I suggest you visit a pediatrician as soon as possible. Babies are very fragile. You can prescribe over the phone for adults but not for babies. See a Paediatrician ASAP

Just user ORI (shear butter) and CARCATIN. It's not expensive and worked for my daughter, that's her cream till now.

Hello madam... I don't know if u will see this before you make a grave mistake.

Before you listen to advise from Nairalanders, source money and visit a highly qualified paediatrician and even epidermologist.

I am not saying their advices may not work. Am only saying that you should seek professional advice first. What works for Baby A may not work for Baby b.

You may go and buy a cream that worked for another baby but that cream may damage your baby skin forever.

Becareful Maam.

With the way the skin peels and the pustules, it looks like neonatal Staphylococcal Scalded Skin Syndrome vs Erythema Toxicum Neonatorum. Does the baby have a fever (ill) or not? If you see no changes after a few days or the situation getting worst, you should check back with your pediatrician to see if the baby will need to be treated with an abx in addition to emollient.

Nothing to worry about. Its very common with babies. My baby girl once had it. She is 7 years old now. I can find out from my wife how we handled it then.]

Sorry oh, please if you can afford it, buy savlon antiseptic liquid to add to the baby water to bath, and also buy sudocrem to rub on the skin, anywhere this rashes appear. It should clear it. Or best option, please go and see a qualified paediatrician doctor, let them check your baby well and prescribe what's best to cure it, because it might also be an internal infection. Please see doctor quick. There was a time my baby had some boil ish, as broke as I was den, I borrow money go see paediatrician doctor for LASUTH. Na so God save me oh, cuz d baby had an internal infection, not just outwards and na d internal infection come dey cause d skin ish and cause fever. Please don't joke with baby health oh. God bless. Wish you the best and speedy recovery for your beautiful baby smiley

Modified: na now I just dey read your post finish. Please oh, don't mind those doctors at that hospital you birth your baby. They can be non challant and lax sometimes. Take him elsewhere, like Ayinke House in LASUTH, they have many good paediatricians there. Let them run tests on your baby, cuz as a newborn one month old, is possible those are caused by traces of infection from childbirth. Abeg oh, act fast. Babies are fragile
d rash b like mosquito bite, make sure mosquito no dey bite am, D skin na normal thing, just give am herbs, it'll go away in matter of days.

See ehn, never underestimate the power of local herbs, I don't know your location but if you're in the South Western part of Nigeria, visit this child herbs seller called Elewe Omo with the baby, they will arrange herbs for you to bath with the baby and give to him or her as shot that will purge everything out from inside. Talking from experience

Nothing to worry about. The best treatment is to consult, iya elewe Omo. Women who sell herbs. I experienced it with one of my children, nearly 40 years ago and that's how my baby was cured.

You will be giving herbs to boil and bath the baby, I assure you that these women are fantastic. Please do not give the baby anything to drink for it. Just something to bath the body and rub
