Stop using any kind of baby powder on your child. This could be caused by powder. Even in hospitals now, mothers are advised not to be applying powders on their babies.

Had same issue as kid up to when I was teenager, ur kid have a very sensitive skin. Here’s how to manage it, for now stop using all forms of bathing products or cream, buy dozens of napkins, so u don’t use same towel over and over again, if you use one today wash it with ordinary water and spread in the sun, use another towel the next day till the 24 has been used before repeating. If where the baby is sleeping is hot, make provision for more ventilation so the baby doesn’t sweat. Change the bedsheets everyday and avoid random people from carrying the baby and lastly make sure ur baby is bathing with clean water. Cheers

Go to a good paediatrician, let them run a test and tell u exactly what to do. Avoid following self medication or suggestions from unqualified people here.

The reason why it is spreading is because "once the ripe boil burst, wherever the water touches , another one will develop there" I remembered this type of rashes also appear on my first born skin and all we do is to get the flower leaf as some ppl have rightly said. You will boil the leaf and use it to bath for the baby in the morning and night. You can get the leaf around especially around estates, ppl plant it as flower. I would have be of help coz the leafs are within my reach here but dunno how far you are to me. As you have said and you v taken the bay to where he was born n they told you it will go, YES that is it, it will go by itself, don't complicate issue for the baby skin by following some modern days drugs some are prescribing here on Nairaland as the baby skin is still flexible and soft. This treatment, if you can go out an dget the leaves yourself, will not even cost you a penny. Teh flower grows in any nice (better people) compound.
But you can also buy it from 'Alagbo' Women.
Dont use all these Prescription people are telling you here, it can worsen your case o. The problem is internal and that leave will wash it out in no time.

Please stop using all those Johnson, Peers baby soap or oil on him, go buy SebaMed baby soap and cream and your worries are over. I'm telling you this from experience. Stop giving him drugs, you'll only complicate things.

Please go visit a dermatologist or pediatrician before using any drugs or cream. We need to learn to do the right thing. Stop taking advice on drugs or cream to use here. We have specialists who are well grounded on how to tackle such baby skin inffections.

There’s nothing to be scared of, it also happened to my newborn last month but it’s all gone. I used betnovante-n cream on her body. It was gone in less than a week.

You can only get rid of it using agbo/herbs ( Yoruba people) have the best treatment for it.. Both the one he would take orally to kill off the bacterias from the inside and then the one you would cook to bath him with, if possible request for also the cream...

People were recommending all sorts of creams... It never worked until her dad brought one herb like that... It cured it totally... Herbs work better

avocado oil and rub it on the baby...we call it alefo in yoruba.

Combine shea butter (Ori in Yoruba), coconut oil (adi agban), and palm kernel oil (adi dudu in Yoruba) together. Then always rub the combination on him after a bath with normal mild bathing soap.

Optional: you can get a powder, 'Rising powder'. It is a refined monju powder.
Also, you may put some Lipton tea inside her bathing water. You need only the extract to be added to his bathing water.

I bet you will thank me later. In fact, you will see change within a week.

You are the cause of the problem dear, discontinue the oil you are using on her hair and it will be a history. I had the same issue with my first son, we passed through a lot of test and medications to get rid of it but to no avial until someone saw it and told my wife to stop using hair oil for the baby and everything became history.
