Its established that the people of akwa ibom state migrated from orochuckwu in abia and first settled at ikono in present akwa ibom. Thank God our gov just completed the orochukwu road through INI LGA. Present ikot abasi is the original opobo but due to state creation we have some in rivers and part in akwa ibom. thanks, you are right. usak edet is where we came from. orochukwu is the first place we settled in present day Nigeria. we were chased(maltreated) in orochukwu and we migrated and settled in ikono, making ikono "ntippe Ibibio". am a chief from the Ibibio stock. argue less. thanks
