I'm a Python programmer with machine learning knowledge,
I've seen your thread on Python best practices but it looks tough I don't seem to get some stuffs there, kindly recommend some texts or courses I can take that will help me improve( especially on Data Structure and OOP).

Thanks

Let me add to this.
I see no way, learning Programming will affect your studies. Sincerely, I am not too good in academically but, I still maintain my 2.1 to the glory of God. Everything is about planning. Just learn your coding, even if it's 1hour per day, it's okay. I don't know if it's me alone. Learning Programming makes you smarter and be able to think logically. If you find Programming easy, bro your studies will be piece of cake.

I'm a maths student:
I can use python very well(Most Data science library for analysis, visualization and for ML),
use SQL greatly,
Tableau is a cake,

my 2 cent.

I started learning Python in school during holidays and strikes I'm glad I've come this far in Machine learning and AI while I'm still in the pursuit of my degree.

Looking at the current situation in the country, the best thing an undergraduate can do for himself is acquiring a digital skill to add premium to his certificate.

1. For quick analysis.
2. Referencing. I suggest you add XLOOKUP & XMATCH to your arsenals
3.Communicating with your lower team. You send the excel spreadsheet
4. Your boss may be interested in only the information based on the excel and not python
5. Quick charts.
6. Infact learn Google sheet as well.
7. Financial modeling for those on accounting
8. Conditional formatting
9. Split text column. Try go deep on data validations then you understand.
10. There are so many things you can do on Excel but not with pandas.

A typical person like me daily
1. Tableau
2. SQL
3. Excel
4. Google sheet
5. PowerPoint because you must present at least a month
6. Jupyter notebook
7. Rapid miner

Hope I answered your question.

hello so i have been learning excel and learnt Pivot table and Excel formulas, i feel like the only way to be really good is to practice, but i am having a hard time getting data to practice with. can u recommend??

import os
Then type
os.getcwd()

Then copy and paste the csv file to the same computer folder that the above command generated.

Then you can try to open it now.
Be sure to type in the same case
I.e If the file starts with Capital letter, you type it exactly same.

You are not referencing the right folder where the "Absenteeism_data.csv" file is located.

Share your complete code, we will be able to guide to the problem. But make sure the .csv is in the correct folder you are referencing in your code.
