2:I noticed u use y16 @ 6bars,why did u or it stipulated in the structural design
3: what minimum concrete mix ratio for pad and strip footing?

Another observation
The grade of unicem and falcons cement are rated @32.5r
Which is grade for non loading bearing structural
While Supaset,Bua are rated @42.5r which is suitable for loading bearing structural,what u take on this,am I correct?
And is there any effects of using local stone in construction, mostly in anambra,they use it for columns and footing,with mix 1:8:12, this mix is it correct concrete mix ratio

Strip concrete thickness of 150mm, pad thickness of 360mm
The work we do is according to building structural design, we improve on it if need be.

And which government body is there to test periodically to see which companies are adhering to what was stipulated on the bag of the cement? None.

What we do here is to monitor the quality of some products and work with them, being careful to ensure that the mix ratios we use compensates for the quality of cement in the market, no matter the name or the grade they specify on the bags. We usually reduce our ratios so that there will be more cement than specified in the drawings because those that give structural specifications might be doing so while assuming that the cement in our markets are of top quality.

We are going to cap this house with aluminium roofing sheets this week. We plan to use black long span aluminium sheets.

Finally this project is now in roofing stage,....what is the height of the kingpost?

The black aluminium longspan looks good on the roof, other colours are more popular on roofs but with black it has a good fitting as stonecoated in my opinion, and the colour is also suitable to camouflage dirt with time. I hope the colour coating could hold and withstand wear, tear and peel off for a long period of time and what's actually the measurement of a full longspan?

This roof kingpost is about 17 feet high. The black looks better than I thought.

This roofing work was completed yesterday evening. I will be in the site to supervise their work . More pictures from this site later.

We are also poised to start the plastering of this building. Plastering works starts by this week. Plumbing piping has been ongoing for over a week now.

About N17.5m, less than we advertised in the first page.

Bringing in our plastering sand here, we have already bought a lot of cement. Plastering of this house is next.

I saw the advertised 18m but was curious how the budget faired considering the ever changing prices of goods... this lock down etc..

Just curious how those factors affected the initial budget.
