Have read almost all the posts here, I can't see majority of the posters are not from Edo State nor reside in Edo State. If you have participated in Edo State Election before now, you will understand.
Let me educate those who don't understand
Federal might or incumbency always play a minus role in the outcome of any Edo State Election. Bring all the money and give it to the electorates, majority will still vote according to their choice ( irrespective of the campaigns, majority have known who they are voting for), it's only a significant few that will vote for money and these few are in the rural areas. PDP was the party that started giving money to electorates on election venues during Oshiomole second term election. Oshiomole and APC didn't share anything but he won with a landslide victory, Subsequently, APC became master in it during 2019 election.
These are the following things that decide Edo State Election results
1) Performance and past records
2) Godfatherism- Majority of Edoites hate godfatherism.
3) The zone the candidates came from, that's why both candidates are from Edo South.
4) The party ( APC is not loved in Edo State), Obaseki and Oshiomole was the influence in APC but what Oshiomole did had made people to hate him as well as APC.
5) Achievement of the Party at the federal level, I can say Buhari government have not done anything in Edo State. This is a big factor.
6) Votes from riverine areas, that's where rigging takes place.

All the pdp members are involved...Registered players for the season

in the last bayelsa election PDP paid better than apc in 90% of the wards..

Why only obaseki had issue with his academic results and NYSC at the same time?
