I am currently having some challenge with my WhatsApp. Send me a PM so that I can give you some useful information you may be interested in through mail.

The manufacturing company is in Kano and they need a major distributor in Lagos. I'm one myself in my state of residence.
@anjilgreat Thanks for the reply. I have sent PM as requested and I await the info. Stay blessed.

What is your background? What type of business have you done in the past? Why did you buy the property or how did you buy the property?

What is the source of the fund used in buying the property? What is the current condition of the property? Is the property currently generating any cash flow? How long have you bought this property?

Your answers to these questions will determine the type of counsel I can give you.

Sir emmanuelewumi, I thank you for the response. I am semi-retired from the professions and have no practical business experience except for completion of a course in mini importation which shows me I will not be able to cope with importation, hence I am looking for alternative storage based business to put the warehouse. Members may just know such products.

Okay, I thought as much.

I wanted to advise you to focus on the venture that produced the funds used in buying the property.

Try and learn all that needs to be learned in the importation, warehousing or real estate business and don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Don't invest in what you don't understand. Educate yourself before investing in any business, don't use more than 25% of your fund to experiment in a new venture as your understanding and knowledge increases you can increase the amount you invest

Are you still doing TB?

No, i was referring to fbn quest money market. As the TB rates dropped, we should expect a slight fall in money market too.

You need minimum of N5 million to open a Stockbroking account with Stanbic IBTC Stockbroker, FSDH securities, FBN Quest securities and others.

You can try Chapel Hill Denham, Morgan, CSL Stockbrokers etc

You should have used at least 50% of your funds in money market to buy the last Sukuk, the coupon can then be used to buy money market funds.

Transfer of below 100k are not allowed in the banking halls of First Bank, you will be advised to use the phone, mobile banking app or the ATM

All these things are relative and as such depends on the situation most times. I have an account with them that I no longer use ATM card on. About 2 weeks ago I transferred only N11,000 to another from within their banking hall.

Is your branch in Lagos? Are you a senior citizen?

Rules can be bent sha.

They found out that 90% of people in the banking hall are for transactions of 100k and below, it is a way of decongesting the banking hall and for people to embrace the cashless policy

It's a big regret n a great loss to me i didn't get to know about the bond until 2 days to it's end date, was trying to retrieve my cscs , novice me I never knew I could get it done without that. I'm hoping to buy some bonds via stanbic but last time I made enquiry of it, the response was so clumsy that the responder couldn't tell me in clear terms my exact interest. Will give it a shot again when I'm able to visit their office

That is why it is called Busyness, a business is to keep you busy and worn out.

I wont totally agree with this...I think it still remains the fundamentals of all investment.....

You don't have to agree.

Business is active, investment is passive.

Anything that is active will require activities, busyness, energy, time, presence etc.

Right Sir

But we can develop and grow our businesses to become investments by having structures, systems and controls in place, such that the business is on autopilot and can continue to grow and be profitable without our active participation in the running of the business.

My second sting with shares in 2013/14 was with ECL, looks like they went out of the market. Any ideas about them?
I have been trying to move my shares from them into Morgan. The process is on Sha.

Are Nigerians poor because they lack money OR because they lack money-management skills?

This is an excerpt from an article on the savings culture of Nigerians.

“According to the International Monetary Fund, the gross savings rate in Nigeria* stands at 15%, far below China at 49% and even below the savings rates in South Africa and Angola.

This discrepancy between the Nigerian attitude towards savings and our actual actions begs the question – why do Nigerians fail to save?”

The few who save, spend most of their savings on frivolities and the cycle continues

I opened with Morgan Capital and the minimum to start trading was N5,050.00

After that, you can even test the waters by buying shares worth 50 Naira or even less, like 2 units of zenith bank and 2 units of First bank shares
