Sadly though, many young ladies in this generation are terribly materialistic. I belong to the generation of love letter writing and "if so, doxology," and as I am very old fashioned, I recognise that some things have more lasting value than others. Money, gifts and material possessions are good, but they cannot buy you sincere love and happiness.

However, it is not an excuse for men to swallow the spirit of poverty of their father's house.

The very reason why both men and women have become so very money conscious.

As it is today, if you don't have money, nobody looks or even notice you. Money they say, makes the world go round. Lol.

Love letters and romantic poems are things of the past, now is the era of gross materialistic tendencies. This is among the reason why fraud is rampant.

I sincerely doubt if there is any girl today who will marry a man who is poor, just because she loves the man. I'm sure you know love doesn't put food on the table. Lol.

I have some neighbors whose parents were vulcanizers and cobblers. Their daughter fvcked around and got pregnant for a recharge card seller. The boys have chosen a career path with NURTW collecting owo load at the bustop and smoking weed. I asked myself that can't these people strive to be better than their parents??

Lol. I stopped taking my guitar out of my place. It was getting me a lot of female attention... More than I needed at that time.

I really appreciate this comment. I was listening to Rev. Olusola Areogun some years back, he made mention of something very funny. He said, his wife was going thru her old stuffs one day while he stumbled into the room, and the woman was trying to keep something away from him, and he was like woman can I know what is it you're keeping? Guess what, she kept all those love letters Baba wrote years back in her box. Marriage of over 3 decades

Likewise, I was listening to Arch. Bishop Duncan William two years ago, and he mentioned about himself give her wife a surprise birthday and the beach side during the evening. Even though the wife told him she doesn't want any gift for the birthday, but he went as far as inviting a few friends of her's without informing her and there after placed a call to the beach people to set a tent, good table and some other things in place. He said the wife was marvelled when he took her there without any prior awareness. Things like this goes a long way. I heard him one day talking about some funny good stuffs, and I was like hmm! Baaabaoo

Above all, money is good, but money won't do all for you. There are things you have to be deliberate about. So many rich broken homes because they keep chasing money with the quote '' @least I'm trying my best to provide you an the kids with everything, what else do you want?"

And for the instruments, I will advise to port to Violin, it does magic to the heart/soul/spirit.

i thought so too, one day ma'am, i stumbled accross bob proctor. he says kids of poor would most likely be poor,etc because religion and culture are not the only things children are indoctrinated with. when i looked back at my life and those around me; it hit like a storm....poverty, wealth, marriage drama, and other aspects of live children are exposed to can actually be passed down to them psychologically like religion. amazing!!!
