Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have commenced the process of removing the deputy governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi.

The members of the Assembly are currently deliberating in the Assembly on the allegation of gross misconduct against Ajayi.

On the premises of the Assembly, scores of armed policemen and the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps are present to maintained law and order.

The Deputy deserves impeachment. How can you give your boss ultimatum to hand over Power to you? When you know you’re not having majority of the Administration with you.

The guy should have resigned honourably it's not like he has his faithfuls in the assembly.
Akeredolu controls the state legislature so why allow it come to this
Nigerian Politicians and their love for commotion.

I think Akeredolu have no problem with his decamping to the APC. But him giving the Governor ultimatum to handover to him is what will make his impeachment a no contention.

Abi now.. He has moved to Pdp.. He should be stripped of the Deputy position

I'd love to see the deputy governor challenge this up to Supreme court and let the court decide. Maybe someday we might have the governor and deputy from different political party

The SC have long decided it in the case between Attorney-General & 2 Ors v VP (Atiku Abubakar) in SC 31/2007 on April 20, 2007.

The virtue of his decamping doesn't invalidate his position as Deputy Governor.

We have had such situations before...esp in Sokoto

What I think stirred the hornet's nest in this case was the ultimatum he gave the Gov. That is a mile been disloyal.

Agboola should have resign to stop all these drama. He needs to focus on his governorship ambition.
