Might be a manufacturer defect, most people would have been complaining about the same thing.

Okay let me point out why. My reasons are personal.

First and foremost is horrible battery life. On all Samsung flagship devices I've used they never seem to get past 7hrs SOT no matter the configuration and tweaking. I'm a very heavy user who does 80 percent of my job on the phone....... Samsung wasn't helpful in this aspect. In summary their battery suck or their aren't too good with their optimisation. I struggle to run this xiaomi to 30%(very hard) I average 12 hour SOT on the days I'm on heavy use.

Secondly, if you are a heavy user you will notice Samsung gets hot when running some high graphics tasks for an hour. I literally put it in freezer sometimes for like 1 minute just to cool it.... Surprisingly I'm running those same apps on this xiaomi and I don't get such hotness which makes me agree that benchmark test is bullshit and doesn't equate day to day use.

There are other functions I can mention but like I said, when you put functionality, quality and specs together xiaomi can't compare to Samsung(at least for now).

My switching is for personal preference on which aspect of a phone is more important to me.

Samsung's display is the culprit for poor battery life
The better it is the more battery it uses plus the more 5ge phone tend to hear up especially if you use it at maximum brightness.

Anybody reading this thread should know this is one of those Xiaomi marketers' strategies for selling their market. I fell for it and Please do not fall for it. The most annoying thing is you buy their phones the few weeks after use, their display quality begins to reduce and the worst of it all is that they lack spare parts for their phone.

False Phone-phets cheesy cheesy

I want to disagree unless you tell me their midrange phones with lower screen quality can comfortably give to 12hrs SOT

Lol. You misunderstand. They can't afford to make the parts for the devices so purchase several components in China or ship them to their assembly factories in China.

Take Coke for example. If you buy a bottle of Coke in Nigeria, is it the one made in the USA or the one made in Nigeria?

Seeing how they, Apple, don't have assembly plants in the Americas, all iPhones or most iPhones purchased worldwide are from China, Chinese labour and some Chinese hardware.

Lemme burst your bubble. The original paste which is dissolved in water here in Nigeria isn't made here. Its imported bro. We just bottle it. That's exactly what they do in China for Apple. Help them put it together. Chikena

Izendu:
Around June last year I decided to get a new phone, I had two choices that point for my price range the infinix S4 and Redmi note 8, unfortunately I picked the s4. Using this phone I was really satisfied with it at first till cracks started showing up, I noticed the pubg performance was less the note 7(which my brother was using at the time), the picture quality of the camera started to degrade around 7 months of usage. The software skin xos based on Android 9,was just full of ads, almost everytime am getting notification to install an app, worst of all u can't reject it, it was either install or remind me later which I hatred.with gaming I never really had a problem, just I could only select the lowest graphics on games like pubg mobile and cod mobile. After all this I started researching to buy a new phone, when I saw the infinix S5 I was shocked to know the only difference were the design and camera megapixel, it came with the same helio p22 in the s4, using my brother's phone I found MIUI to be far better than the infinix, so I said am going the redmi way and bought a note 7(wanted note 8 but due to lockdown couldn't find it) and I have never regretted it, the UI is some much better, the camera performance bests the s4(can remember when taking photos on the s4 on portrait/bokeh the phone blurs into the person, but the note 7 does well in the blurring process. The note has 1080p with gorilla glass 5 front and back while the S4 had a 720p with no protection and it also scratched easily and the back was plastic. It even made my mom change from tecno to Xiaomi.
In general Xiaomi makes better phones than transsion

Hmm. Have you used both tho? That's the only way to make this comparison.

My note 10 plus only needs charging once a day on light to moderate usage. Been at it since morning with COD, and it's on 60% right now
