I'll quote you when the outcome is upon us.
By the way you have like other apc or pdp supporters ignored the points I have stated and brought up something irrelevant just to avoid admitting you supporters are brainwashed. Why did the Senate deny him twice? And pls go and read up his history and see he mess he has been in even before he was made acting chairman...
1. Most times the Senate as a whole is subject to the whims and caprices of the SP and a few senior Senate officers.

2. The Nigerian Senate ( and the legislature at large) is not a body whose integrity you can vouch for with your life. We have seen this since 1999.

3. We have witnessed a few other Sentate versus Presiency conflicts in terms of confirmations. And sometimes it all boils down to politics and personal interests.

4. The Senate is not an investigation body and have no authority to declare one guilty or not.
The Presidency probably hadn't concluded it's own personal investigation on Magu and was never going to subject itself to what the Senate thinks.

5. Corruption always fights back. Sure this assertion isn't novel to you.
In my personal opinion majority of the Senate is made up of corrupt individuals. Not only the senate, the 3 arms of Government are 80 percent corrupt IMO.

The point is that you may accuse Buhari of being slow to action in this case,
But you could never accuse him of shielding corrupt officials or hiding corruption as so many have concluded wrt this case.

Very valid points I must say especially that you know that those in power are mostly corrupt. As for Buhari I'm yet to understand how a man can surround himself with incompetent and corrupt people. From Kemi Adeosun, to Maina, to Babachir Lawal, Magu and many more. That tells me a lot about him.

@ let me summarise for you. Your darling daddy presented Magu to the Senate twice inspite of the fact that they never approved him. He then went on to keep him in acting capacity just to ensure he headed the so called anti corruption fight of Buhari.

But don't worry I have a good defense for you grin
Buhari is clean and thought Magu is clean too inspite of findings by the Senate that he had pending issues that were glaring for everyone to see.

At least these people you mentioned have been relieved of their duties even though they have not been convicted.

Do you remember these 3 people?
1.Stella Oduah
2.Diezanni Madueke
3.Abba Moro

These are 3 people who had the same level of corruption allegations during Jonathan but Jona chose to ride and die with them.

The fight against corruption is slow but there is a slight improvement. Let's not forget where we are coming from.

No doubt Jonathan was corrupt and also surrounded by same. You now see why it baffles me how anyone can support any of these parties...as for me I can never defend any of them. That's like seeing white and calling it black.

Seriously I personally do not support any either, I have never voted in my life.

But I do have a problem; I have got a little bias towards APC.

And it's simply that APC have been there 5 years while PDP was there 16.
So it irritates me to see someone who supports PDP come out bashing APC..
When they are basically the same.

But like I always say; Nigeria is an impossible project.

The Presidency says the ongoing interrogation of the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, is to clear him of weighty allegations leveled against him.
A presidency source, who preferred not to be named, told State House correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday, July 7; that the probe of Magu was an affirmation that nobody under “the present administration is above scrutiny’’.

The source, who could neither confirm nor deny the suspension of Magu as reported by traditional and social media outfits; maintained that the investigation of the EFCC boss was to reinforce the Buhari administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

He affirmed that the holder of an elevated office such as the chairman of the EFCC must be above suspicion.

According to the source, the Buhari administration would not prejudge anyone because it can be counted on to uphold justice and fairness.

The source said: “The panel investigating allegations against the Acting EFCC Chairman had been sitting for some weeks now.

“In consonance with the principle of fairness and justice; it was needful that the Acting Chairman be given the opportunity to respond to the allegations, which are weighty in nature.

Under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, nobody is above scrutiny. The investigation is to reinforce transparency and accountability, rather than to vitiate it.

“Accountability for our actions or inactions is an inalienable part of democracy. In such an elevated position as that of EFCC Chairman, the holder of the position must be above suspicion.

“There’s no prejudgment — absolutely none. The Buhari administration can be counted on to uphold fairness and justice at all times.”

A presidency source had earlier confirmed that Magu was on Tuesday afternoon suspended from office; following the ongoing investigation by the presidential panel, headed by retired Justice Ayo Salami.
Why was he not scrutinized when Saraki refused him on damning allegations from DSS? Was he above scrutiny then?

So do you think that the DSS could ever have gone against Magu without Buhari's approval?

Or do you think that Magu could have faced any panel at the Presidency without Buhari's approval?

It's either people are being foolish or being mischievous.

The sanction of Magu is actually a plus to Buhari than a minus to him.
But Saraki refused him based on same DSS report, but Buhari kept him. Question is why was he kept till now?

Probably because he wasn't convinced with the DSS report.
It's 3 years on and DSS might have broken new ground to convince the President to authorize this action.
We all know that DSS would never have done this now without Buhari's approval.

Common sense should tell us all that Buhari was not convinced earlier. Is it not the same Buhari now?

But then it's funny how everyone is believing DSS all of a sudden.

Even those who used to bash the DSS before for bursting PDP politicians are now believing DSS.

So funny.

That's lame. 1st the DSS is an agency under the F.Gand not an arm of the opposition party, so why doubt his staff. If he doesn't trust their judgement, then no use having them.

Also, Buharis track record on appointments reveal that he is not critical on enquiries into the characters he appoints, else he won't be appointing dead persons into positions.

Lastly, upon the DSS raising allegations of corruption and considering Buhari's campaign mantra of zero tolerance for corruption, Buhari should have paused Magu's appointment, knowing what appointing a corrupt person into such office might portend for public's perception about his anti-corruption fight.

How many evidence Buhari gather before e rush Justice Onnoghen, former CJN to CCT?

Nice. Both are useless in their own way. Both supporters never point out why one party is better than the other instead its how the other party is worse than theirs. It's a pity. I never vote. I don't support any of them and unless one is getting paid I don't see why he should carry one useless party on his head.

Recently the politicians who have caught the virus run down to Lagos to die. Both pdp and apc. Ajimobi could not build a hospital in oyo for a whole 8 years that could take care of him. They cant travel out anymore. This is all pdp and apc. Its beyond party. They jump ship easily and that should tell you that they are one and the same. If apc is given it's own 16 years it won't be different from apc. That argument only holds water now because they haven't spent as much time

Does it mean that because Magu is found culpable today it definitely means that he was also culpable 3 years ago?

And what if Buhari had prevailed on the DSS and the Minister of Justice Malami to stop all investigations on Magu and kill the case,

Will you all have the mouth to be criticizing Buhari today?
Twice the Senate refuses to confirm him on the grounds of corrupt tendencies

But will he be tried and jailed? Remember how Babachir's case went. Am trying to figure out the transparency and accountability.

Realised when someone writes an article on something, majority tends to follow without thinking, anybody can become corrupt at any point in time because absolute power corrupt even good people.
But been held accountable for your actions is what anti-corruption is all about.
Maxymilliano:
It is more glarimg by the day that the so called fight against corruption initiated by Buhari and spearheaded by Magu is a ruse after all.

It took the much touted anti corruption ceazar 5 solid years to secure a single conviction in a case initiated during Jonathan's tenure.

Buhari should just bury his head in shame.
