Theblink123:

I hope there is still some sort of racial diversity in Dundalk because i am aware that Dundalk is not as diverse as Dublin.

Thank you Chiggslover and all other Gurus in the House, this thread is educative. I would love to relocate to English speaking European Country. Ireland/UK to be specific.

Please i will like to know What are the easiest/cheapest way to legally relocate to these place and How to go about it.

2. Between Ireland and UK which would you advice for a family whose wife is a nurse with over 15years experience in Nigeria and Hubby a Data Analyst with 7years Experience as a Bank Customer Service Officer and Currently two years as a Business Analyst with an Agribusiness Firm and Two kids between 5&8years old.

Thank you as I look forward to your candid Advice.
Uk is easy cos of your wife. If really she's a Registered Nurse )not quack or something else, you know Nigerians call anything in white and female nurse), she neess to write exams and pass and in 4months min, she would be there. The exams are written in Nigeria and cost less than 500k. You can join her or you go together. You should read the thread of the UK nurse migrants on NL.

Is the embassy open yet for Student Visa?
I have someone who want to apply but due to Covid19
He already got an offer and paid over 70% of tuition fees

Boss, please can you give me an insight about printing press business in Ireland?
Have you ever come across a printing press there?

I'm a cutting machine operator, I just want to know how printing is over there
Thanks

Lolz She is a full Registered Nurse Not Hospital trained. She currently works with a teaching Hospital. As for the exams, she has registered OET which is useful for UK and Ireland Nursing Board Registration, we are currently on UK process But I have heard so many good things about Ireland and my enquiry was to know if Ireland is better for us interms of Training Children and over all life things.

Nevertheless thank you.

Haaaaaa.
Printing press here will be a hard market.
Library does that for us.
And there's going to be huge cost of production, taxes, and other. It's hard to break into here as the public libraries does that, universities have printers scattered all over with the printers connected to wifi.

So people, I've been really busy this week.

Lots of assignments and I heard one of my exams can be in two weeks.

Let me throw this open to the house,
If you've been following my journey, there's something i usually do every two months, it was three this time around.
Let me see who can guess. grin

The network providers here are very flexible, different packages, speed and all depending on your need. We have the following

Vodafone
This is the iPhone of the network providers
Very expensive, little data though they have good speed. The minimum you can pay monthly is €20 for 20gig.
First sim I got when I came here and I japka to lycamobile. You cant even call naija with that plan sef. Cos of its expensive, they have great customer service and outlets scattered around the city center. You have to pay more to enjoy more

Lycamobile
This is the Techno of the network.....
Very affordable with some plan going for around €5 for no calls with 3gig data. Its flexible, you have the plan if you want more data, or more international credit to call home or just call. The student plan is €12.50 for 25gig data some credit to call Nigeria, and unlimited call and sms within Ireland. Unlimited plan is €25, you'll be able to call naija conveniently. thing is their network is on 3G. Guess it doesnt get to my house.
They have terrible customer service, I ordered for their sim, and it never arrived at all. They haven't even replied to my mail till date. That's the issue I have with them.
When my house wifi had issues, I needed more data . Me that uses 4.5 gig monthly in Nigeria, 25gig no dey reach anywhere even when wifi was working. So I transferred my number to Eir mobile.

Eir
Only reason I moved to Eir is that the unlimited plan is cheaper, they have 4G which goes on and off. Since the wifi is not there, I needed to keep up my new lifestyle as I watch Aljazeera, CNN, YouTube live and other consistently. I could do this with Eir for €20. I ordered the sim online and on the Third day it came.
If not for the lockdown, I would have done my heavyweight downloading in school but I need to update you guys na.
Then I transferred my line to the Sim. I will switch back to lycamobile when the wifi starts to work. Switching in this country is transferring your number to a new network. In Nigeria grin, due to free browsing, cheats and plan differences, I had mtn, airtel, etisalat and glo sim, ready to switch once I spotted a better offer. Main line was aired.
I had two phones also.
I didnt know lycamobile had a cap on their "unlimited data" which was 100gig. Before 5days, I consumed I got a message telling me that

You have reached 100% of the monthly Fair Use Policy allowance. Further data usage may be subject to limited speeds.

It's like they brought it down to 3G even though the 4G is showing. They just brought it down to lycamobile level, lol. I checked and saw that I found pay €30 to get a 750gig cap, voila. But I'm still enjoying the way it is now, its fast, I can stream, watch Netflix, but downloading huge file is terrible.

Tesco, Anpost, I haven't used these,

For phones, buying a phone with a monthly plan isnt a good idea. It pays to buy it outright. Its cheaper. I rather order it .
You can get a sim easily here, just walk to a network provider shop and smile. They don't do what MTN does to us under hot sun. Theyll just give you the sim, you can then put a bundle and that's it.
I got my lycamobile sim from a shop, it was lying there like junk letters. I picked it up, took it home and bought a bundle, that's all.

All phones are useful here, these old guys still love their iPhone 4s, Its a beautiful phone, my sister recently replaced the 4s I gave her after using it for a year, I used it for 2yrs. The younger ones are the ones that go for the flashy phones. Older women love samsung. I dont know why. Sissy eko and few guys use the recent iPhones.
Refurbished phones are the way to get it cheaper and easily. You can order online or walk to the computer village in Dublin. Lol.

Thank you for the question, Dimaxy.
kudos bro.

Glad, you are enjoying ireland. Please talk on pay TV,like we have dstv, gotv and startimes here.

What about theirs, and please update more on way of life and food.
